pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.

yk its really actually amazing how they took iwtv the book, the racist and largely boring and poorly paced book, and made a damn near perfect two seasons of television that are very well paced and very interesting and fun to watch, and then took the tvl book which is considered the extreme improvement in writing and pacing to iwtv, and made a season of television that is So poorly paced and is racist and constantly dates itself (in a bad way). like, damn, way to switch up on those two books lol

didn't like the nappy head, black queen and slave comments, Claudia's rage is 100% justified but that doesn't excuse the white writers saying that through her, i may understand the slave comment because she did say it multiple times in s1 and it's there in the book too, she does mean that louis is malleable and she can control him if he's not with lestat so it makes sense, but the other shit... so unnecessary and it's not even consistent with Claudia's character and rage like everything else she said is valid and i would've been angrier at louis than lestat because she understood that she would do the same as lestat did and he's aware of who he is and she's exactly like him, but louis' cognitive dissonance is really frustrating, still those lines were so icky
