ArtFight Attack: H&S Wizard <|:)
OC by Chernobog
This OC was love at first sight for me. I loved how unified (and funny) it felt as a concept, and I thought the artists reference page, in which they had made a 3D, pixelated model of the wizard, was just so cool and inspirational. I couldn't get this vision out of my head of making this humorous character a bit more menacing, with it pointing its glowing warning sign right at you; you know its caught you in your H&S-violating crimes.
I wasn't as satisfied with the lineart's dynamic-ness, but I think the dramatic shading really added to the intended mood of the piece.
ArtFight Attack: illness~
OC by BingusTheMingus21
I did the original sketch for this in a burst of miffed-sadness, and I really wanted to keep the emotions that came through in that sketch by preserving some of the messiness of the lineart and the very intense background visuals. I think I could have kept the lineart a bit more jagged and messy, but I'd say the vibes are still groovy.
ArtFight Attack: A new companion: Trans and Enby Angels
OCs by Skystreak
This drawing was inspired by my own identity and relationship with viewing myself as trans and nonbinary at different times, and with different associated emotions, before I came to use both labels with pride. I wanted the trans pride angel to look as though they were in a supportive, curious role, literally serving as somewhere for the enby pride angel to rest and feel safe.
It was really fun playing with shading on this piece, since the majority of the trans pride colors primarily come from the shading itself. I am also proud of myself for pushing through the annoyance of trying to layer and round gradients to get the specific look I had in mind AND having to rework the hand when I realized I forgot to add a thumb (insert facepalm emoji here___)
I also thought my drawing process was interesting for this one, so I've included the speedpaint below:
ArtFight Attack: River^2
OC by Somniladon
This was another angst drawing for me, which have been very freeing to do since last af I limited myself to making drawings with happier tones. To create the 2nd, twisting River, I used Mesh Transform (and played with getting the right shapes for a while) and then manually colored it in. I really enjoy how this makes it look like River is being haunted by themself, and perhaps their specific choice to rip off his own face.

ArtFight Attack: photo?
OC by Tr0ll_G00BER
I absolutely adore how creepy and out of place the eyes and mouth are on a cartoony anthro-cat. In this drawing, I really wanted them to feel very alone in the scene, hence the "water" ripples. It was really fun to draw eyes and a mouth that did not "go" together.

Drew this lil' ducky because I thought they looked super cute. I especially love how the shading and highlighting turned out!

This one was really difficult and rewarding. I struggled with the placement of the larger fly and the foreground flower petals. It was also challenging to get the bright colors to go well together.
ArtFight Attack: Colorblind_Revenge >:3
OC by mtndewhorror
When I saw this OC I just had an image of them in space with a glowing ray of green from their screen and I couldn't dismiss it. I really enjoy the more painterly space-background I did and how I made wisps of space interact with Colorblind.
ArtFight Attack: Fitzgerbert :)
OC by Ibily_Scibily
This was my revenge attack! I really, really enjoyed drawing the head shape; it somehow works really well with the feline body, what a cool design. I am proud of myself for continuing to futz with the posing even when I had started the lineart already because I realized it felt "off", the left hand and foot and the tail where lining up really weirdly.

ArtFight Attack: Tiffian w/ Flower
OC by Ibily_Scibily
I can't stop coming back to look at this drawing! I really enjoy how the pinks, purples, and greens work together. Moreover, I am really glad I used a reference with the hand, as I think it came out much better for it. Finally, something about the tear on his gas-masked face is really satisfying to look at, I think because it is functioning more as an overlay/"sticker", which makes it very visually intriguing. Really fun OC and drawing overall.
ArtFight Attack: Florace & Sun
OC by FrankieCheesecake
I really like how this one turned out! Especially the more dynamic posing and the lineart on the arms and legs (which took many tries to get right lol).
ArtFight Attack: Swirls-Eek!
OC by somehowezra
This attack took a lot of attempts to get just right. It was especially difficult to determine how the "severed" head should move downwards and how the background would best be colored to not overtake the oc.
ArtFight Attack: InkDelver of B&W
OC by GBroatic
I was planning one coloring this one, but I thought that adding color would actually make it more visually confusing because of how crazy the lineart is.
ArtFight Attack: Fruitsbasket
OCs by 3amArtist
I really enjoyed doing playing with coloring the lineart in some areas and not others. It was also super fun to "bend"/position the characters around each other.

ArtFight Attack: ~Flora~
OC by mrs_flora
I changed the color pallet a bit on this one because from this perspective the stem was melding into the pot (the colors were all too dark)
Introducing Psychotria tristitiaculis ; Attack at my artfight @ https://artfight.net/character/9606530.psychotria-tristitiaculis
Has evolved to look so sorrowful that it evokes tears of sympathy in almost any creature that looks into its petals. Typically, it does not cause excess harm to organisms, unless they are especially emotionally vulnerable, and thus they will cry until they die from dehydration.
It is theorized that this evolution occurred to compensate for a lack of rainfall in the deserts Psychotria tristitiaculis are native to.
