far too often i see potential trans men who "dont want to abandon women" or potential trans women who "dont want to leave women with one less Good Man"
i promise you, there will always be more women and men out there, for every trans man there is a new trans woman, and vice versa
Transition. the world will forever be better with another happy trans person in it, than it ever was with a sad cis one
everyday Black people ask the world, 'do we have the right to exist? are we people? if you prick us, do we not bleed? Aren't we alive, aren't we real, don't we matter??' and in resounding chorus, the world says HELL NO.
But like, we do exist and we are people. We bleed the same blood, we have the same wants and desires as anyone else, we love and we hate and we ponder. We matter, we're real and we count. And I think I'm just very tired of us having to justify our existence on this earth.
What conservatives are DESPERATELY trying to keep from you is that they are too late. You can live a happy, successful life as a trans person now.
I don’t even mean some vague notion of “trans joy” I mean you can make it. You can be a young trans person who grows into a middle aged trans person who gets to be a wrinkly old trans person.
Even if you didn’t get to be a trans kid more and more kids are getting to be trans. They exist right now! They will also grow up to be trans adults and we get to be the ones to show them what that looks like. We get to pave the path that SO many people fought to forage
Disabled people being taken care of properly isn't a privilege. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE.
"if I had your disability in my country, I would die, therefore you're privileged" (paraphrase)
Disabled people are simultaneously the worst off (at the whims of our governments on whether we get to be alive or not regardless of where we live) AND the most privileged, on account of ....being alive at all I guess 😔

"I don't like this thing so I'm gonna steer clear of it" -> totally fine, respectable, a normal response
"you should never write/draw this thing bcuz i find it disgusting/wrong and don't want to see it and you're a weirdo loser if you do" -> fuck you, piss off, who died and made you god of fiction
Happy Pride Month! If the punchline of your joke is the idea of a pregnant man, it’s not funny. Here are some examples of jokes that you might be using without thinking that could be hurting people around you.
> “I’M GONNA GET HIM PREGNANT!”/“the boy impregnator”/anything similar where the joke is that the idea of a pregnant man is absurd, impossible, or outside of the realm of reality.
> Pregnant man emoji reactions to Discord messages.
> Commenting on the pregnancies of real men with anything about ao3, fanfiction, or omegaverse.
> Referring to a real man’s pregnancy as a butt pregnancy.
Today a random clip of a F1nn5ter Q&A stream found its way into my feed.
Someone asked F1nn why it was that on her larger branded social media accounts she still listed herself as a femboy in some places while in more intracommunity spaces she more readily and comfortably identified as transfem.
Now, depending on who you ask that kind of question to you'll probably get a meandering answer on the complexities of how one defines their own identity. But instead F1nn gave a very quick and simple answer.
She gets less death threats or other general threats of violence from people when she calls herself a femboy vs calling herself transfem. It wasn't any deeper than that, and some people in her audience understood that, while others were confused that femboys were more palatable to cis people than transfems.
your nonbinary identity and experience always deserves to be respected in every possible form it can take. it is entirely possible to have any sort of presentation and expression of your nonbinary being, have those be relevant, while also being entirely nonbinary. it is not hard to understand who you are.
Disabled people can be complete and utter assholes btw. They can have the absolute worst opinion ever and that doesn’t not give you the right to speculate on the validity of their disability. Disabilities aren’t some god given gift only granted to those with pious hearts or some shit. Anyone can be disabled, no matter what horrible takes they may have.

Actually genuinely if you act like fandom discourse is too beneath you to care about people being sent death threats for having taboo kinks, you need to do some work unlearning whatever cringe reaction or bias you have against fandom spaces.
You don't have to figure out what "proship" means and you don't have to get involved in the discourse yourself, but you have *got* to stop talking down to people in fandom trying to raise awareness of what's going on because "you have a job" or "are over 30" or "touch grass" or whatever the hell you use to be dismissive.
People getting sent death threats for drawing noncon is the same as people getting sent death threats for talking about their cnc kink.
People getting their accounts nuked because they wrote about underage characters fucking is the same as people getting their accounts nuked for posting age play.
People being doxxed because they ship fictional siblings is the same as people being doxxed over incest roleplay.
Fandom spaces have their own unique niches and terminology, and the discourse can get ridiculous, but that doesn't negate the actual harm anti-kink rhetoric and people are doing to real life kinky people.
The fact that it's over fictional characters should make it *more* alarming that there's real actual harm happening over the discourse, not less!
"X are the Black people of the queer community" I might be wrong, but aren't Black queers the Black people of the queer community
This is racism.
Black queers are in fact the Black people of the queer community. Stop co-opting Black struggles.
"X are the Black people of the queer community!" And apparently I'm a chopped fucking liver
i'm honestly sick of people self censoring their own kinks to be "one of the good ones".
i'm talking about "nooo but furries aren't actually animals" "she's not a loli she's 5000 years old" "my ship isn't abusive, its just TOXIC" etc
YOU ARE INTO FREAKY SHIT!! stop trying to pretend otherwise!
.
It bothers me so much that the healthcare system relies so much on the patient's ability to advocate for themselves, organize their history, and be so persistent against every medical “professional” who says there’s nothing wrong/they can do. But so many struggle with fatigue, brain fog, and face such ingrained systemic barriers, that the people who need and deserve help and support can’t access it.
I saw something recently that resonated with me: “Access shouldn't depend on who has the energy to fight for it.” And I’ve never agreed with anything more.
it's wild how quickly and easily people will pedojacket you for defending childrens rights. I've been called a pedophile for saying 'i treat sixteen year olds like adults.' I heard a podcast recently where the host got looks for saying 'i was playing in the pool with some kids' as if thats not an imminently normal place for both adults and kids to be.
it's also worth noting that this is intentional. the constant accusations of pedophilia and grooming are built specifically to prevent adults (and especially queer or marginalized adults) forming solidarity with kids, or from treating like anything other than things to be avoided.

If you have "any paraphilia DNI"/"paraphiles DNI" (or any variation of this), either educate yourself or unfollow me, because this is ridiculous. All kinks and fetishes *are* paraphilias. Being attracted to fictional characters or objects is a paraphilia too (you can still use ficto-spec and objectum labels if you prefer them over saying you're fictophile, objectophile). Paraphilia is literally any attraction that is considered *atypical*.
If you're having "any paraphilia DNI"/"paraphiles DNI", I'm gonna assume that you either don't know what paraphilia is, or you're a purist, and I don't wanna purists to interact with me.
i get why people don't believe in marriage as a social construct but legally it is the best and easiest way to say "this is who i trust to take care of me when i can't take care of myself" and i'm so glad gay people fought for that right bc when shit gets scary at least i know im in good hands
