it started as a cute suselle comic with noelle's antlers accidentally getting snapped off, but then i veered off course because,

susie ATE the antlers, thought a trade was in order, and it all spiraled from there- into how susie bleeds, and how doctors don't know how to treat her the parts of her non-monster health, and how susie projects her fear and insecurity of being othered onto others

Kris wasn't scared of Susie. Generally, at least, they thought she was cool. She didn't give a fuck about anything and anyone, she made everyone piss their pants, and she didn't have problems saying what went through her mind. That was cool as hell. She was cool as hell.

But finding themselves alone with her was still a little... nervewrecking. Kris wasn't sure why she decided to stay in class when everyone but the two of them left. They had to be there waiting for their mom ( you decide to go swim in the lake in winter ONCE and suddenly you're not allowed to leave class by yourself anymore, huh!? ), but she was free to go, right?

Unless she wanted to mess with them, that is. Or... steal chalk again, considering she immediately went to rummage through Alphys' desk as soon as everyone else left.

Who knows.

What a wuss.

Susie spares a quick glance at the drawer she'd been rifling through, finger twitching in eagerness to continue its work. But she can FEEL their stupid little eyes staring holes into her. "Tryna catch me in the act, huh? Gonna tattle to your mom?" What other reason do they have to stay here, did Toriel make them or something?

The hair on her neck stands on end for a second.

...Nah. She shouldn't want her kid getting in trouble. They have to be doing it on purpose, like they always do. Always trying to piss her off, their bouts of silence only interrupted with some smartass comment every once in a blue moon.

She finally breaks her eyeless stare, craning her head back down. "You better STAY quiet, you little freak."

She continues thumbing through Alphys' notes. She'd already found and pocketed the chalk, she's just not eating it in front of Kris; not gonna give them more ammo. Alphys always puts it in the same spot in that tiny little weird short drawer each time.

God, this is so fuckin' boring, but sifting through stupid paperwork for a few minutes beats having to do the work herself, easily. Does she not label anything to make it harder on purpose?

While skimming over and flipping through random shit, Susie pauses for a second when she notices some WEIRD wording. Like, somebody talking to somebody else and stuff. Like yeah, SOMETIMES homework makes people up for math, but it was like... Weird.

Susie hunches a bit farther, squinting hard underneath her mane.
