"Saoirse" means "freedom" in Irish. I named her that because not only was she held in captivity, her whole thing is about being trapped in her head, but if it’s one thing she’ll fight tooth and nail over it’s her freedom. It’s a fun conflict
And Cadence comes from the Latin word cadentia and means "Rythmic", "Flowinng", or "Falling". It also has historical roots in poetry and music which I thought fit him perfectly. He also chose the name “Eliot” to be apart of his name because it’s the pen name of one of his favorite authors.
Most of my character’s names have unnecessarily complicated meanings lol

I never want to get divorced and I never want to hate my husband. And I am afraid that I am going to forget and that I am going to become my mother. I don’t want to become resentful and angry and cruel. I don’t want to treat my husband like he’s incompetent or a child. Oh I’m so scared. I’m so so scared.
My husband was so scared he would be like his dad and end up divorced. He was afraid he would become all the worst parts of his dad.
He has been the sweetest, most loving, most patient, most tender man I have ever met. You don't just "forget." You don't forget that someone is worth sacrificing for. You don't forget that you love someone. You do eventually forget their mistakes sometimes, but only because it becomes so far from how you would treat the one you love so much.
Even if you do mess up in the ways you're worried about, and you may occasionally because we're human and some of those are pretty common human mistakes, a good base of communication goes a long way. In my marriage, when one of us messes up, we talk about it. We lay it out, how much it hurt when the other said or did something. Setting aside pride and admitting when we were wrong. The apology comes not from being caught, but because the other person's hurt means something to us, and we want it resolved.
Divorce happens when you don't talk. Divorce happens when you shut down out of fear and stop trying. It's messy, and scary, and painful to have some of the conversations. A lot of them, actually. But it's so much better to talk than it is to pretend everything is fine when it's not. Your spouse is not just a friend, a roommate, a boyfriend or girlfriend. Your spouse is, in many ways, an extension of you. And that only becomes more apparent and more beautiful the longer you both do the work to keep it healthy.

Had a very vivid dream that woke me up and now I'm awake wayyyyy too early but can't go back to sleep.🥴

Pregnant with a cold, so not the best, but I get to rest and take it easy. And I can feel my little girl kicking around in there so that's nice😊
Overall really congested but still happy. Might hop on the Minecraft realm my church friends set up today
Aww~ I'm sorry that you're sick but congratulations! Hubby and I have been trying for a baby for the last year or so with no success. But we're hopeful it will happen one day! 😅
I just got over a cold but the weather here in Ohio keeps fluctuating. So I'm not going to be surprised if I get sick again. 🥴
And yis! Minecraft is fabulous. It's been so long since I've played minecraft at all.
I'll be praying for you to get that baby! I myself had 3 miscarriages (all happened within the first trimester) but with this one I'm over halfway through! It has been such a blessing and God has given me so much peace.
It can be so frustrating and worrying and disheartening, but even if you don't get a child of your own I'm sure you can bless other children. God doesn't always give us what we want, but he always gives us what we need when we need it

I got diagnosed with PCOS last year and have been taking steps to help kind of get my body back on track after not having consistent periods for like... 10 years.
Some months have definitely been harder than others, especially when a lot of folks in my close circles tell me that they're expecting. Comparison is the thief of joy is something I always have to remind myself and whenever I have those hard months, lifting my prayers up to God.
I'm very grateful I have a wonderful husband that helps me through those rough moments and both sides of our families that are extremely supportive too. And I have two beautiful kitties to look after too.
Little Ozzie is definitely prepping me for motherhood with sleepless nights and making sure that this little creature stays alive through the night. She was very sick when she first came to us and I was the one who took her to the vet and all that and was the one to administer her medications and she got spayed a couple days ago and is being a 10 month old kitten and not settling down.😅
Hahaha! Cats are such goofy creatures. We got the sweetest little kitty (about a year old when we got her, two years old now) and she's been checking on me throughout the day as I've been sick. She's usually pretty calm, but she does have her gremlin moments!
One day she smacked into the window trying to get a bird (no injuries, just embarrassed lol), another time she would have dumped one of my pots on her head if I wasn't there
