so, i decided to seek out the saiki k live action movie today.

disastrous decision.

problem #1: the most popular magnet links were nonfunctional, and the rest only had <10 seeds, which is pretty standard for really obscure stuff.

problem #2: the next best link was one with only 2 other peers. 30 minutes later, once the file has been downloaded, i find out that the only audio is in cantonese, and that there is no attached subtitle file.

problem #3: the only downloadable file of this movie with the japanese audio is MASSIVE because it used a lossless codec, and the subtitles of this one were only in french. this takes 1.5 hours to download and would have taken longer were it not for a lovely seeder in germany with 2 mb/s speed. 7 gb for a movie is insane.

problem #4: due to lack of attached english subtitles, I had to scour about 4 subtitle sites before I found a suitable one.

the solution: take these 3 sources are mash them together to make one complete file! encode to compress! voila! it only took 4 hours! i'm honestly surprised that it wasn't easier to get this movie given the popularity at the time as well as the fact that it's available to rent on youtube. why has nobody done a proper release what the heck!

i'm considering releasing a full pack of all saiki media in one folder, since i have basically all of it now. lmk guys
