Having a QPR pairing can actually be a lot more fun than a traditionally romantic one because it really forces you to look into what these characters' boundaries would be and what they would and would not like doing...
Of course I'm not saying boundaries and certain things being excluded are nonexistent in traditionally romantic relationships, but when it comes to shipping, I feel like people are a lot more predisposed to just say "yeah, they do all of it" when it's romantic lol
But I think there's a lot of good analysis to be had with a pairing where the context makes it so you don't just "get" to look at these aspects, but pretty much have to...
Ok now this is the part of the post where I get into my stuff. I've been thinking about this a lot with Saikechi, because I think it's really fun to get into which parts of a more traditional relationship characters would take and which parts they definitely wouldn't, which parts of their relationship would change and which parts wouldn't.
For example, we have good evidence that Touma enjoys cuddling things by the fact that he sleeps with stuffed animals, and I don't think Kusuo would mind it as he doesn't seem particularly bothered by physical touch even by his friends, so in this kind of scenario I could see them cuddling a lot.
However I think if they tried kissing on the mouth Kusuo would be so grossed out and Touma wouldn't be able to stop talking about how many germs they just passed over and they'd never do it again LOL.
And that's only scratching the surface of it. Honestly this was quite fun to write about so maybe I'll get into it more later...
