I like the whimsy of fairytales so much with all their strange rules that just are respected and personifications of things like the wind that noone questions and characters’s reactions that are either too drastic or too mild for the situation and never just right

Though maybe I’m disrespecting fairytales by saying their rules are strange, maybe they’ve been trying to teach me that real life is full of absurd rules and there’s no difference between that one nordic tale’s giant hiding his heart on an island in the church in the well in the duck’s egg, and rl billionaires accumulating their wealth through a “stock market” where they trade “shares” via a “computer” “network”
