iβm an ordinary guy
Stupid is timeless.
Iβm that lady whoβs just FEELING it
tbh cables were like that and safety precautions werenβt hard set in yet
Oh wow this is horrifying
Holy shit
Why donβt we see this kind of stuff more in history books?! Iβd be way more interested in history if I understood that people were afraid of electricity because they were afraid of power lines slicing them to peices like cheese-wire! History books make it sound like βoh those silly people thought electricity carried demons or something!β Rather than βthose poor people opposed electricity because they were terrified that eventually there would be so many power lines they wouldnβt be able to see the sun anymore.β
Forbidden Zipline
Me, reading about people fearing electricity when it was invented: well, people always fear changes and the new, so-
*further reads about the madness that was the massive powerlines and its horrifying lack of safetyβ
-you know what. I would do the exact same: be terrified of theΒ βgiant electricity spiderβ.
also if any of those zillions of lines snappedβwhich im betting they did more than zero times!β you would have anything from a brief and scary lightshow to a deadly thrashing snake dropped down to street level to shoot lightning into anything iron or copper, which back then was cars, carriages, drainpipes, canes, buckles, umbrellas, signposts. how happy was a carthorse going to be with electricity grounding itself on its harness or bit? how safe was a kid with everyone running around and cars crashing and horses flipping their shit? what happens when a man uses a steel-framed umbrella to try and smack the cable away?
people in the past were the correct amount of scared of electricity! modern people just forgot all sense.

Family lore
(Yes, Dick was in full clown makeup and outfit when Tim found him in A Lonely Place of Dying.)
The New Titans (1988) #60
still chugging along with young justice i like anita sheβs fun :3
some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
Shakespeare is like this
Every time I see a Van Gogh thatβs not one of his better known pieces it absolutely blows me away
Have you seen this shit my liege? smh unreal
tim w/ a bazooka?
w/ a bonus cassie

Superboy and (kryptonian) nightwing

i say it every week but this episode was amazingly done, i had to draw grisha. his character development is one of my favourites, although you wonβt see its conclusion until the next ep iβm very happy to see it animated
Ribbon dancing I was not aware of your evolution π€―

@cipheramnesia i got u fam
it's finally that time of the year again for the clinically depressed newscaster describing february with disco elysium music
what is the single best line in this video
it's a month that doesn't hold up life any better than it really is
something great happened here but it's over with and that's the way february is
like the desperate flinging off of something that's not true anymore
the expedition is getting desperate. people are throwing things aside
this looks like a place where people who are being punished are sent
nobody is tap dancing or breaking into a rogers and hammerstein song
theyre just barely able to get across the street and hunker over a bowl of chili
most of the birds who can afford it have flown to florida
it's as if there's some awful truth out there in the trees
something that's been bothering you for a long time is out there. what is it?
to hide the bleakness of feb., man invented valentine's day. also mardi gras.
what other month can host a holiday designed to remind us we're all gonna die?
character limit forced me to paraphrase
