men’s hockey isn’t real they made that up for heated rivalry. In real life only women can play hockey

I love hockey, women’s hockey especially. Do not get me wrong here. I am seeing a general refusal and or unwillingness to engage with the idea that the problem goes beyond one player. Britta Curl Salemme moving to Detroit does not absolve Minnesota of their reaction to trans fans or their protection of her. She is not the only one in the league that holds views like this. Holding her out as the only one allows every other person who holds those views to go unquestioned. Saying that the “evil is gone” just because she has left. The team does not cut it. There is a general culture that needs to change. It is not just her. 

fans complaining about player loyalty is killing me. imagine you switched jobs because you didn't want a doordash driver salary anymore and people on the street started calling you a traitor

there is a hockey team that exists right now that consists solely of defensive pair mae batherson and kendall cooper alone in the middle of the desert

For the record, i'm still going to participate in the curl tax donations to You Can Play. She might not be on our team anymore but she's still part of the league and therefore an entertainment product I'm consuming. I encourage others to do the same. This is an institutional issue, not an individual one.
