Sorry I won’t be posting much this week since I’m on my HONEYMOON!!!! But I figured I’d leave you with this little nugget of motivation. #transformationtuesday I often remember as a little girl and throughout young adulthood, watching Say Yes To The Dress on TLC. That show was my jam. I was obsessed with witnessing how beautiful every bride looked and felt in the amazing designer dresses that were all at their disposal. I loved it. But a tiny part of me hated it too…I envied what those brides had. I was jealous of their tiny waists and bold confidences. They all seemed to be able to look beautiful in not just one dress, but EVERY dress they tried on. I remember thinking “that will never be me. I will never look like that. I can’t imagine ever feeling that beautiful.” Well, my friends, I was wrong. I had enough of the self hate and pity I was harboring inside my heart and I decided to do something about it. I deserved to feel beautiful. I deserved to love myself. And so do you. Our opinions of beauty may differ from others, but I have to say, on Saturday, September 10th, 2016- I can honestly say I have never in my life felt so beautiful. Not just because of a dress. Not just because of my weight loss. But because in my heart, I was truly at peace with myself. Sure, a beautiful dress, makeup, and weight loss can help in the matter, but it’s what’s in your heart that truly makes the difference. I’m blessed enough to love myself fully, and in return I have found a husband you loves me just the same (if not more). Today I give thanks to all of my supporters and encouragers. I give thanks to @weightwatchers for giving me a program that helped transform my life. I give thanks to God for not letting me give up. Here’s to a lifetime of healthy and happy living.
