your boyfriend katsuki grumbles, his gaze longing on his hand. your fingers gently hold his, the brush on your hand carefully painting strokes of crimson on his nail.

“if you want a pretty design, then a while.”

he sighs and turns his head, feeling the brush swirling around his nail bed. you hum some random tune as you pick up another brush, dipped in acetone, and carefully swiping it around his cuticle.

“the hell are you doing?”

“cleaning up the design, unless you want contact dermatitis” you smile, “wouldn’t want my favorite customer to get hurt.”

“why are you suddenly doing nails anyway?”

“oh, y’know, to buy the ninja swirl, seen it on tiktok a few times.”

that’s a lie. you started doing nails in order to save up for your boyfriend’s birthday present, which was a custom license plate for his porsche. nonetheless, you think a ninja swirl would benefit you and katsuki. you set down the brush and drive his hand towards the lamp. a minute later, you retrieve it to show your boyfriend the final result.

red, orange and green decorate the explosion doodles on his nails, and you can’t help but smirk. “guess your nails are explosive, huh?”

a smirk immediately graces your lips as your attention shifts over to him, putting your phone down. "how romantic, disturbing my peace and quiet like this." you tease.

"we're going on a date later, so what's the issue?" dismissal as always, but you know he's equally as playful. his legs cross as he leans on one of his palms, eyeing you intently.

well, what are you waiting for? you open up the box, expecting a simple necklace or pair of earrings, but no. it's a chunky bracelet, filled with charms of alternating colours – blue for him, pink for you. "oh?" you coo, picking up the delicate accessory as you glance at him. "i thought you weren't a fan of tacky jewellery, hm? what happened to that?"

"but you, unfortunately, do." a sigh leaves his lips. "don't you think keeping you happy has more importance than my personal preference? or do you think that lowly of me?"

"sorry, sorry." you mumble, though quite happy in nature, and you take the time to inspect and admire your new gift. around the back, or what was supposed to be the front, it's got a tiny letter nestled right in the middle. "it's got an m on it!"

"for me, obviously." he lifts his hand, raking his fingers through his hair with his tattoo-free hand, and simultaneously showing off his matching bracelet.

you gasp, another wave of excitement washing over you as you realise he's wearing one despite his dislike for this kind of jewellery. he's wearing it for you. and he's got your initial hanging from his wrist.

"you got one too!" you exclaim with joy. kaiser wasn't a touchy person and you knew that, but you just couldn't hold back, crashing into him with a big hug. how could he be upset at you for that?

he can only smile, a hand coming to your lower back and rubbing over your skin. "i love you." he mumurs lowly in your ear.

“Oh my god.”

Sae has to leave. It’s past the point of him responsibly leaving, to now, where there’s no choice of him having to leave now, if he wants any chance of making it to practice on time.

But you, however, are seemingly far from getting your Itoshi Sae fix, not wanting to be far from him at all: you whimpered and whined when he got up for his run, you snuck into his shower with him, you looped your arms around his waist while he made his lunch, now you’ve got his face gripped in your hands, sponging kisses over him.

At first, sure, he loved the attention.

But Itoshi Sae has to leave. Four minutes ago.

“Hey,” he sighs softly, trying to push your shoulders back to peel you off of him. “You know I have to go. Don’t make this harder for me.”

“You don’t have to go,” you say simply. “You and I can just be hermits forever, hide here for the rest of our lives and cuddle forever.”

Tempting. Not that he’d ever tell you that.

“Don’t you want to stay here forever with me?”

He clicks his tongue, “you know I absolutely would if I could. But,” he makes a move to step away, and you whine and squeeze tighter. “I have to go. Then, when I come home, I’ll be able to tell you all about my day while we lay down. You like that.”

“I know I do, but,” you peer up at him with your lethal pout, “I like you being here more.”

Sae looks at the clock on the stove. Then back at you. Then he sighs and leans down to steal another kiss from you, slotting your lips with his. They move in harmony, eliciting small pants from you, and his hand cradles the back of your head lovingly. You mewl and rest your hands on his hips, letting the few seconds of heaven be savored between you.

When he finally pulls away, you’re smiling dopily, giddily, and Sae knows he hit the nail on the head.

You’d wanted a goodbye kiss. Sae always knows what you want from him, and in the morning, it just so happens to be a firm, loving, assuring goodbye kiss.

“Okay,” you purr, letting your hands roam over his back, compliant and melted in his arms. “You can go now. I’m happy.”

“You’re done with me?” He asks.

“Yeah, until tonight anyways,” you hum, kissing his chin. “Better go before I change my mind.”

He cracks a smirk, “you’re a real piece of work, you know that right?”

“What can I say?” You sigh dramatically. “I know how much you love a challenge.”

like yeah hes blunt and can definitely be rude when he chooses to be, but he lowk js doesnt gaf most of the time so if ur not bothering him he wouldnt even care

makes me wonder if he actually made any friends in spain or if he spent most of it by himself ☹️
