i think that's what i saw the tv glow did honestly.

so from chapter 39 and arguably also the fire juggling thing he does during the silver eve procession, we know that olruggio can actually dance -- well enough to do so in front of a noble court without getting smack talked or merely condescended to in deference to his position (the real final challenge). I wonder if it's a common thing for the Great Hall to teach its apprentices, or if it's a thing he learned because he specifically works for big noble houses a lot and has to Network and Hobnob. like does qifrey know how to dance? did they learn together? qifrey seems to have minus infinity interest in working for the aristocracy or attending the sort of social functions where it would be useful, but it would be really funny if he's amazing at courtly dancing purely because he spent his teens helping olruggio practice haha. the opposite is also a hilarious option of course -- that for all his almost supernatural and near compulsive elegance in all other things qifrey is a BAD dancer. can't follow the beat for shit. stiffens right up from focusing too intently on the steps and manages to turn all his natural grace awkward by it. olruggio always has to lead or it gets real sad. either option perfect 2 me honestly.
