I started this piece AGES ago, the words were inspired by the book "Desert Flower" by Waris Dirie. Back when I started it, I had the intention of donating the proceeds to her foundation, to help fight the war against female genital mutilation. Her book was amazing, and it was totally shocking. But above all it was inspirational- to know you can come from any crazy background and rise from any misfortune, and create the life that's true to you🌿 All i need to do is apply a hem line, and this embroidered patch will be for sale.
