Next I colored the background and the words, added a drop shadow by duplicating, coloring and readjusting the layers. Recently I‘ve been working on my iPad setup and wanted to work on a new background which is a littlebit more colorful so I created this one 😋 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisments) I used #procreate and started with a blank canvas in size of my display background. First, I filled it in with #tourquoise / #aquamarine #color and started shading. On the bottom I used darker tones, on the top lighter ones. In addition I also added some paint splatters and other decorative elements in the background. Next I used #symmetry tool and light brush to #create the #mandala in the back and also made some fading under this by using the Gaussian blur tool. Now that this was done I used a bought stamp brush #dragonfly (to be honest… I was too lazy to make a very big drawing and I really enjoyed this one, so I see it more as a digital collage). It’s Saturday and we are going to a #birthday party! Of cause I had to prepare a #birthdaycard and here’s how it turned out :) 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - card base ( from @aveccreative 20 postcards ) - white cardstock - embossing folder (circles) - chalk ink pad ( @decotimecrafts ) - 3D (Perl) paint ( @craftssensations ) - stamps - deco #flower - corner rounder - white deco rievet - tools (foam tape , paper cutter, … ) First, I covered my #embossing folder with my inkpad on one side, put my cardstock in it and run it through my diecutting machine with the right adapters. Next, I used my embossed background und trimmed my card base littlebit. I glued it down with one layer of foam tape and started decorating. Therefore I used a small leftover cardstock piece, trimmed it to the right size and made a hole on the top left corner. In addition I also rounded the corners of the piece and used the rivet along with the deco flower parts to fix it to the cardstock with the hole. Next I also stamped a sentiment on this piece and used an inkblending tool and the same inkpad as before to color the edges. Along with another layer of foam tape I stuck it on the background as well. To add a littlebit more interest, I also added some 3D paint dots it. 🖌Tips and tricks If foam tape is not avariable or expensive to you or you need another way how to add dimension, there are a few other techniques that can be used, such as - layering and gluing cardstock pieces together, - using thicker packaging cardboard from orders/ packages (it usually is lightweight because of a specific structure), - styrofoam pieces or even - plastic package leftovers which have dimension. This weekend we #celebrate #mothersday and here my #cards I made! 🎨 Materials and methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - cardstock (brown, pink) - @craftsensations 3D paint - @aveccreative cutting dies ( #flower shape) - additional #piggy cutting dies with #stamps - @decotimecrafts #aquamarkers - uniball signo broad #whitegelpen - #watercolor paper (300 g/sm) - additional Tools (foam tape, die cutting machine, water, brush, …) It’s been a while now since I reorganized my #diecuts and found the flower #diecut . I used this one to diecut flowers out of watercolor paper and used my aquamarkers, plastic and some water to #color them . Next I added a double layer of foam tape and stuck them on my card. In addition also diecut some piggy’s out of pink cardstock, stamped them with the matching stamp and colored them with aquamarkers, this time using them as marker. I added two layers on the back of them as well and put them on top of my flower (which should also represent a littlebit #trefoil / #clover for #goodluck ). Finally I also added 3D Perl paint dots to add a littlebit more interest. I‘m going to use these for #fathersday as well and made a bunch of them for the whole family 😋 🖌Tipps and tricks Don’t want to wait for a long time until the watercolored paper is fully dry? You can use a heating tool or even a hairdryer to quickly dry watercolor pieces. Planned out my #may this time differently! A while ago I saw #journaling with good notes and thought that maybe I try that too. But I still use my regular #planner as well, so I try a hybrid system ^^ 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) This #cover #page for #goodnotes I created in #procreate by importing a dot paper from GoodNotes into this program. Next I made this #coverpage as usually: I colored the background, used the #symmetry tool on different layers and colored them later as well. In addition I also set the background a littlebit more transparent, shaded and adjusted the #mandala background. In front I did a #heymay #lettering, colored and shaded them and added a drop shadow as well. And well done - it’s finished! Now I imported this into GoodNotes and added my own inserts to use as well. 🖌 Tipps and Tricks Check out my diy and costumized story highlights for free undated planner inserts you can use for yourself! Here‘s another #card I #handmade this week! 😋 Well, I know it’s not #harvest and maybe a lot of us are happy that spring is finally coming in northern hemisphere, but I couldn’t resist making a #fall inspired #shakercard with all the other #slimline #cuttingdies ❤️ 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) Please check out my previous post for how I created the card base/ basic element shapes. I only changed my #dies from @aveccreative and my #color palette of #inkpads from @decotime , cardstock and aquamarkers for details. I used a yellow cardstock in slimline size and inkblended it to the top orange and reddish, added a #fox out of orange cardstock as well as clouds and hills. I taped these elements down as described in my other post but trimmed before about 0,5cm on each side left and right. Now I added a frame of foam tape, filled it with #glitter and a stuck acetate on top. Recently I was so excited about my new #diecuts I got as a present and I couldn’t wait to try them out!!! 👀 😊 So today I share what I #handmade this week with them ❤️ 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - #slimline diecuts from @aveccreative (details like clouds are included) - additional diecuts like tags, #animals ,… (some other posts will follow) - #chalkink pads from @decotimecrafts - cardstock , different colors (light Blue, white , green, light green , #craft paper (or brown) - #stamps (for example for #greetings ) - #aquamarkers - additional tools (foam tape, scissors , #inkblending tool ,… ) As always , you can use anything you have on hand. If you are on a budget but wanna buy some #landscape dies , I‘d recommend getting larger ones you could use with many different #card sizes (slimline would work for A6 and squared cards as well). First, I #diecut all the landscape shapes out on different pieces of paper. I made sure to leave the bottom part longer than needed, because when I‘d everything together, I #layered the landscapes as I liked it, marked the access on the bottom and trimmed them down to the final size. To add a littlebit more visible dimension I shaded the lower part with inkblending and also added some details with aquamarkers. #happyearthday ! 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisments) I used #procreate and #procreateanimation assistent. I colored the background black, added the stars and set it as background. Next I drew the #earth and earth pieces and shaded them before using clipping mask to only use it on earth. Now I combined everything and set earth as part of the background too. Finally done! 🎉 This #procreate #drawing / #painting I wanted to post for #easter last week but I worked so many hours on that #illustration , I really underestimated the time I need for that. We named him hiphop bunny and even made some funny lyrics for him 😅😁 He makes a hip, He makes a hop, He‘s a hiphiphiphip hop bunny. 🎨Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisments) As said before, I used Procreate for that. Can you believe that I run out of #cards ? Well, I make a lot of them and I had also prepared some in advance but I still had to make some new ones 😅. Here‘s how they turned out 😊 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - cardstock light blue and light yellow - #watercolor paper (300gsm) - #aquamarkers (@decotimecrafts ) - 3D paint / perl glue ( @craftsensations ) - cutting dies (squared , #flowers ) - other general #craft tools as needed First I started by diecutting the flowers out of watercolor cardstock and #coloring them with aquamarkers (I‘ve put it in a story hightlight where I explain how to use them as watercolor , you‘re welcome to check it out if you‘re interested). Over areas with darker color I went over multiple times to add dimension. During the drying process I #diecut the background square and added it on my #card . When everything was dry I used foam tape and sticked it down onto my premade card base . I started with the background shapes in #rainbow order (each one in a single layer first and with a darker boarder than the filling), than I made these more transparent (about 75%), placed them in a order I liked and united them in one layer. Next I added the layer with the #lettering , added a clipping mask and colored them . I also made a drop shadow and highlights. All those things I set as background and finally I drew the #flowers into a group with different layers and rotated them for each frame. Starting with the last group which I‘d added, I also added the #bunny and placed it each frame more to the bottom until it was gone. Here‘s a #recycling #packaging #idea for everyone searching for a nice #giftwrap but does not want to make a #wrapping from scratch or wants to #reuse some packaging. 🎨Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - package of your choice (mine was #hexagon ) - cardstock in light and dark yellow - hexagon cutting dies or hexagon stencil and scissors - #bee #stamps - #aquamarkers @decotime - foam and double sided tape - #3Dpaint - glitterglue - other tools if necessary I started by tracing and/ or measuring the size of all side parts of the lid and the bottom part as well as the front and back covers. I tried to put them on different paper so that there will be a nice variation of the paper on the package (for reference please check out the other photos by swiping). For #decoration I used 3D paint on the top to outline the hexagon and #diecut hexagons which I glued down and some with foam tape. Next I stamped also #bees and colored them with aquamarkers before I cut them out. I did the same with the #beehappy stamped lettering and make sure to cover the inside parts from the original packaging with cardstock too. Here‘s another #crafty and #simple #idea for #easter time ! These #gifttags are easy to make and don’t take up a lot of time . 🎨 Materials and Methods (includes non-paid advertisements) - #watercolor paper - cutting dies for #tags or scissors and stencil - #stamps ( @craftsensations) - #inkpads (@decotime) - #aquamarkers ( @decotime) - piece of plastic - if needed additional tools First, I diecut a bunch of tags out of my watercolor paper. Next, I took different stamps ( #butterflies , #floral elements , #hearts , #mandalas ,…) and a black inkpad and stamped all of the tags. In the end, I scribbled some aquamarkers on my plastic piece, added some water and put my tags on them.
