Meet my oc, her name is "Wallenda". She kinda looks like Ramona for some reason maybe the hair color but I ain't changing anything about her. Had been absolutely loving drawing her in acrylic marker.

Repost from @echo.ism ・・・ Flowering Wanderer . While unpacking supplies in my new art studio (❤️✨!), I found my September 2019 @artsnacks box, for which I hadn’t managed to do the #artsnackschallenge last year! Yay! 🤩 I definitely miss the monthly surprise art supplies, and scratching my head trying to work with unfamiliar colour combinations 🙂 . I got the cute @zebrapen_usa #mildliner in magenta and vermilion - I loved that #brushpen tip 🤩 the colours are pastel and the brush tips allow for streakless coloring on watercolor paper 😲The @krinknyc acrylic marker came in a bold fire engine red, that had good coverage over the other colours in this box. @dalerrowney1783’s #aquafine watercolor ink in leaf green was surprisingly fluorescent, so I toned it down a bit by mixing it on a palette with the navy blue @marvyuchida #lepen. I scribbled with it on the palette and added a drop of water on a wet brush, and it made all those pretty shades of blue 😊 The flex tip was good for details and outlining too. I’m still figuring out how to use a filbert brush, so the @princetonbrush Snap! definitely goes in the “mystery supply to play around with” category 🙂 I added some details in white gel pen, because... white gel pen 😜 . I think I only have the November(?) box left, so I’ll be saving it for later, probably as a reward for completing a pile of schoolwork 😹 .

Not the best 📸 of this piece, but it’s back home in Barbados so until I’m there again this picture will do ✌🏾
my first time using acrylic markers a couple days ago, I've been doodling on this canvas every day and recording my progress and figured it was high time I shared !! Progress pics + thoughts below
So, of course we need our materials being the canvas + our color choice of the acrylics. my first thought naturally was to draw a rainbow in the corner, which was supposed to be MUCH smaller originally lol. (i also made sure to open my window for some natural light which actually prompted me to put up my new curtains finally lmao)
After the color test, which turned out beautiful, I went ahead and sketched out the lines. fairly simple idea, just needed guides which I erased with the only thing I could find(a mechanical pencil eraser lmao)
Next I colored like a madwoman for like an hour at least, and we got our rainbow starting corner !! Later I also colored down the sides of the canvas, which I don't have a separate photo of but you'll see in future posts. A lot of time in-between long sessions I come back through and adjust previous stuff And that's it for now! I haven't done traditional ANYTHING in so long and it's sooo satisfying being the one getting to do the coloring with these pens, you think watching it on YT is good nuh-uh do it yourself it's much better stay creative and i'll be back tomorrow to put up the progress from canvas day 2
