🖊️ Why I Write Fanfiction
I write fanfiction because the stories I was given were broken.
They showed me magic, but not healing. Power, but not freedom. Survival, but not peace. They told me this was the best I could hope for—a world that only fixed itself halfway, a story that left people broken.
I don’t accept that.
So I write to change it. I write to show what happens when people stop surviving and start creating. I write to reclaim the ending, to choose love over punishment, truth over silence, freedom over control.
I write because found family is sacred, because memory heals, and because I believe the better world is ours to build.
I write to make the invisible visible—the hidden stories, the quiet revolutions, the people who should never have been erased. I write to reveal what’s been forgotten, to rewrite what’s been corrupted, to heal what’s been wounded.
I write because I am non-binary, because I live fluidly beyond the boxes the world tries to put me in. I do not support J.K. Rowling’s views on gender and trans identities. I write to reclaim the magic she misused, to restore the wonder she left behind.
But I do not write from hate. Not even toward her. I believe she is hurting. I see how fear twists people, how power isolates, how systems reward division. It doesn’t make it right—but I don’t believe hate fixes what’s broken. I believe in healing over punishment.
Sometimes I wonder… Is it really people who change, or the veil that twists them? This world has a habit of turning heroes into villains, feeding on fear and turning wounds into weapons. Maybe she was changed by the system, by beliefs hardened over time, by power reinforcing her worst assumptions.
And that’s exactly why I write:
To break the cycle before it repeats again.
To rewrite the story, to choose compassion without surrendering truth.
To build a world where healing is stronger than fear.
Every story I write is a practice run for reality. Every chapter is a blueprint. Every scene is a portal. Because everything I write comes true.
I’m not just building worlds on paper. I’m writing the world I want to live in—and I know it will manifest around me.
I don’t wait for permission. I don’t wait for canon. I write, and the world follows.
