yes, people can change, but a lot of them don’t. they may not understand that what they’ve done is wrong. they may not care. they may think they can get away with it. they may think they will be forgiven. they may not recognize that they’re hurting others. this is not your fault; you can’t force someone to do something. ultimately, it’s up to them. and if they want to fix it, they will. immediately. you won’t have to wait years. if they care for you, they will change quickly because they don’t want to risk losing you. keep that in mind next time you’re begging someone to do good by you for the fifth time.

Some people don’t understand and/or recognize the immense amount of strength it takes to pull yourself out of a dark place mentally. So if you did that and defeated depression, anxiety, or self-hate I’m so proud you.

Praying for the woman I’ll be in 5+yrs I hope she’s happy, and loved, living life unapologetically, doing what she loves.
