John Fahey „Requia“ is the eighth album by John Fahey. Released in November 1967. Fahey’s compositions are accompanied by white noise, excerpts of both string and brass orchestras, Adolf Hitler speeches, choral music, scratchy 78-rpm recordings and various other tape loops and sound effects, melody elements of "California Dreaming", by The Mamas & the Papas. Fahey stated that this was his first attempt at musique concrète. “It's not very good and I don't really like that one. It was a good learning experience though." I have to disagree with him.
