Because I haven't shared enough sofubi lately... Here's a monoprint I did of the Blobpus Hormorah. Funny story... when I was inking the fiberglass plate in class, a lot of classmates and my teacher were disturbed, saying "What IS that?!" I had to explain that it was a toy I own, and that I decided to paint it BECAUSE it's disturbing. WELL. While I'm putting the finishing touches on it, A WHOLE TROOP OF VISITORS COMES IN ON A TOUR. They're all teachers and I'm awkwardly sitting there as they're browsing the room. As a birthday present to myself, I took a break from social media for three days. It was refreshing... But holy hell, I'm a quarter-century old. Anyway, back to business! Been a crazy week struggling with sleep issues, but there's good news... Thanks to the gallery sales, I'm officially half way to a pressure pot! The one remaining piece, the Stolas print, has now been reduced to $15. Hand-printed woodcut print on high quality paper, available in Clutter Magazine's shop. Been MIA for the most part the past few days because HOLIDAYS ARE AWFUL. After escaping a family intervention (nothing to do with me, thank goodness) I thought I would have a great weekend in Delaware... Wrong. Aside from being away from family, not much else went right. I had terrible sinus pain and allergies (probably the cats and weather) and had to miss Easter dinner with Jon's family. Then when we were 20 minutes into our drive back to CT, our serpentine belt flew off our engine. An entire day and $500 in car repairs later, we finally made it home. Alright, rant over.
