I spent the day in the print studio today working on monoprints. I'm doing this summer tutorial and my advisor had me make monoprints of details from things that inspired me last week. I saw jellyfish and they made me think of lace and ribbon, I saw flowers bursting out of necklines, and I saw a piece made entirely out of string. These were all way out of my comfort zone, but I had fun, and most of them will make for great collage material. I'm really trying to embrace making bad art so I can make good art and why go to art school if not to make art I don't love.
