Let me set the stage: My grandmother had six kids. One of the kids (my half uncle) was with her first husband. The other kids (including my dad) was with her second husband, who is my grandfather. This information is important to the Mystery Girl.

My dad recently did his DNA on Ancestry. Mystery Girl has shown up as one of his relatives, and she's so closely related that Ancestry has predicted she must be his niece or grandniece.

But she's only related to him on his maternal side.

WHICH MEANS. Mystery Girl has to be my half uncle's daughter. She can't be the daughter of any of the other kids. She is not related to my grandfather.

THE PROBLEM??? Mystery Girl was born almost a decade after my half uncle got a vasectomy. She was born and raised in New York City, which is nowhere near my uncle, and her mom is a lesbian.

There are only two possibilities here

My uncle somehow managed to move across the country, sleep with a lesbian, have a secret daughter despite having a vasectomy

I have a SECOND HALF UNCLE I don't know about, and my grandma kept him a secret all this time.
