I would like a bit of fluff because I saw too much japan angst yesterday and still currently in pain 🥰
Small scenario with 2p Japan comforting (or attempting to if he's not good with feelings as i expect lmao) a reader that gets overwhelmed easy and cries alot. It mostly comes from her family who says hurtful and ignorant things without knowing she's sensitive, and he doesn't see her sob in front of him until she finally just breaks one day because she got yelled at by one of them.
I wouldn't mind seeing him get protective or anything (maybe I secretly want that idk)
Hi! So I know this is an insanely late response but I wanna get back into this and your ask stuck with me for so long. I hope you'll enjoy it if you ever see it <3
2p Japan/Kuro Honda x Reader
Kuro watched you silently as you entered his apartment, dragging your feet inside as if you lived here and had come home from a long day at work.
Of course you didn't live here, nor could it be work related on a Sunday. It was a common occurrence, at first you had knocked until he let you in, then you would sit in silence doing your own things. Then you had started showing up at ungodly hours, breaking into his apartment if he didn't open in time. He never figured out how you managed and as frightening as that could seem, he wasn't frightened. He gave you a spare key after one such night, where you had almost destroyed the piping in his bathroom. If you were going to show up either way, he might as well make it less of a nuisance for both of you.
He had come to enjoy your company and the comfortable silence that you brought into his home. Although today you seemed different, your silence forced and your hands shaky. He attempted to make eye contact with you, but you avoided his gaze with trained movements. Strange, he thought to himself as he got up from his drawing spot. Strange that you would avoid him so clearly yet still show up.
Your body and brain seemed to be yanked out of your trance for a moment, but you withdrew into yourself after a moment.
But you stopped moving away. He tilted his head, observing you, trying to figure out what had caused such a change in your behaviour.
A tear fell down from your cheek, landing on the floor. You were crying.
You finally lifted your head, looking at him with red and puffy eyes. Shock shot through him as he took in the sight, paralysed by your tears and not knowing what to do.
You sat down, or rather you let your body dump down on the floor, pulling your legs close and holding them there.
The crying became audible and your body shook as you started letting it out.
Kuro watched, being unable to produce any words of comfort or helpful. Slowly he moved closer and sat down beside you, hoping his presence would at the very least be a comfort to you.
You leaned in and cried into the fabric of his shirt, clutching the lower part of his sleeve. It seemed to help you, even though he still couldn't think of anything to say. He lifted his arm around your shoulder and held you as you cried.
When your body could no longer produce any tears and the shaking died down, he looked at you with curiosity and confusion.
"(y/n), what is the meaning of this?"
You shook your head, not wanting to tell him about your family.
Kuro decided not to take no for an answer, or in this case, a head shake.
"i will find out regardless, it would be in your best interests to tell me now"
You shot him a grumpy look, not a very convincing one since your eyes were extra puffy and red.
"My family... Are not kind people, they are cruel for the fun of it, they yell because it makes them feel powerful."
You sniffed and took a deep breath, preparing to face your emotional turmoil once more.
Kuro felt a slow steady heat of anger building up inside him, he did not let it show other than his grip getting slightly tighter.
"I am not, but they do not understand, they don't listen when I ask them not to yell. I... I cannot keep doing this, I feel like I'm going to break into a million pieces"
The heat was no longer slow and steady, it was boiling to the point of fury. He kept his face neutral as he started helping you up, being careful not to show his buliding fury.
You nodded, too exhausted to fight it. You had slept here on several occasions but only on the couch. Today you felt like a dead weight more than ever.
Kuro helped you to his bed, rest was needed and the couch would not suffice tonight. He wouldn't be getting much sleep anyway, the couch would be enough for him tonight.
You only resisted a little, but your exhaustion made you sleep before you could voice any real complaints.
As he sat on the couch, thinking about what you had told him now and the observations he had made throughout the years of your friendship, only one thought came to mind.
