hello! i have some random questions about vampires: it says that if their sire dies, they feel it as though they're dying too - i assume it's not a permanent thing? and about feeding, does the amount of serotonin or adrenaline a person experiences affect the way their blood tastes? like some vampires may prefer the "chase" of a predator because they prefer the adrenaline in a prey's blood etc? sorry if that was a weird question lol!
Hi love! Of course. It isn't a permanent thing. They will feel as though they are temporarily dying, but the prodigy will always feel their maker's pain to a lesser degree, so regular pain their maker endures they too will feel but less so, and as for dying, they will feel such an intense pain that it will feel as though they are dying, but they won't die. It will just be a sudden, very intense pain that will pass after their sire hits the bucket.
As for feeding, different vampires have different blood type preferences. Some prefer O-, others AB+, and so on. Certain individuals' blood might taste slightly different, but it will be a minimal difference (i.e., someone with anemia might have slightly less appealing blood vs. someone with high cholesterol or someone who is diabetic, who might have slightly tastier or sweeter blood). The only blood type that truly tastes distinctly different, however, is that of the fae. When it comes to serotonin or adrenaline, it might make the slightest difference, but it will be so minuscule that it wouldn't really make much of a difference to "chase" their prey or not, taste-wise. A vampire who wants to feel like a predator, might want to do that just cause, but it would be more for their own adrenaline and less for the taste of the blood if that makes sense.
