stupid song - another fucking banger. I'm obsessed with how the song progresses and I wasn't sure what kind of song it would be with a title like that but I love it so much it's up there in my top 5 I think 9/10

honeybee - the lyrics are so happy but the song itself makes me want to cry. But her voice sounds so angelic and soothing like holy fuck. It hits a little close to home because it feels like she's talking about how this guy is supposed to fix her after these past exes and like idk she wants so badly to be in love it makes me wanna cry. The instrumental break is gorgeous AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE GROUP VOCALS ON THAT LAST CHORUS 8/10

maggots for brains - it's super catchy and I love how it feels like it should be a love song but it even the title makes you feel a little uncomfortable and unnerved which is what she was def going for. The idea that love can't fix everything i feel like really starts with this song. I love the unique sound of it though and it feels like this song pairs well with what's wrong with me 7/10

u + me = <3 - it's not my favorite but I still like it. Very cute and continues the theme of this love she's feeling maybe not being completely healthy or what she needs even if she won't admit it yet. 7/10

my way - oh she wrote this one for me because I am a petty bitch and I love love love this song. Idc if its petty because the sound is so different and I am obsessed with her voice in this one. Like this gives such 2000's vibes ngl and I am so here for it. 8/10

purple - I think this is my least favorite of the album BUT I still enjoy it. I like how it's the cute oh we make purple but then things start to turn a little toxic and mix to become black I love the line "I had big dreams 'til I tied myself to you, Now I'm all-consumed" because it's this like. Oh moment because personally I have given up on being my own person because I thought I was in love and it slowly destroyed me and the guy was a fucking loser lmao. oops anyway this is the last song on the girl so in love side and I think it was a good ending to side a. 6.5/10

the cure - this is hands down my favorite song on the album and honestly might be one the best songs she's ever released. Everything works so well and her voice is amazing and the lyrics are fantastic as all ways. She continues this trend of peering into my soul and writing songs about all the ugly gross emotions I feel sometimes. And this song is so damn cathartic because yes this is what people feel and its an heartbreaking realization and it sucks because you think that being loved and in a relationship is all you need to be happy when in reality it's not and it fucking sucks. It's like there's something so wrong with you that not even love can fix it so what could. Also obsessed with the way she says her head is poisoned not her heart like YES my head is filled with toxic feelings and thoughts thank you Ms. Rodrigo ugh. Every time I listen to this I swear it's not 5 minutes because I blink and it's already over. 10/10

begged - I was a fan of it when she sang it on snl and I'm a fan of it still. It's so fucking good and so heartbreaking like fuck. I'm bad with words but I know this feeling isn't exclusive to her or me and it's just. ugh it makes me want to cry 9/10

what's wrong with me - oh I really like this one. I love Robert's vocals on it and I think its so fucking cool she's collaborating with him and helping bridge this gap between the older gen and newer gen of musicians. It's like she's love sick but not in a good way because you shouldn't feel this way in a relationship but you do and your brain doesn't possibly think that the person who loves you is supposed to make you feel this way. 8/10

less - I think this is the saddest song on the album and it made me cry and it's very short but incredibly effective in it's lyrics. It's utterly heartbreaking and hits too close to home and ugh I don't wanna go on another rant but I completely understand her and I know that she's not for everyone and that's okay but to have an artist who seems to capture everything I've ever felt about love and put it to pen and paper like she can makes me so emotional. Also weird but it makes me think of it's over isn't it from Steven universe?? 9/10

expectations - literally the biggest fucking whiplash I've ever experienced holy fuck. Banger of a song though and yes girl you deserve better as does everyone and again it's so embarrassing to think about my past relationships like i was so stupid sadgklj but it does teach you the hard way how important it is to value yourself and to fuck anyone who doesn't. 8/10

cigarette smoke - holy fuck this song was really good and also really sad asdfklj. I regret you is such a tough line because it's so. mean but I don't think she's being mean she's being real as hell for it and so brutally honest which is so refreshing to see. The fucking "But it's better than begging for you to stand up for me, honeybee" OH LIKE OKAY fuck that hurt badly. She was so hopeful in honeybee and to see it hurt her this way its fucking so sad. Also "You said that I made loving look easy 'Til I made it hard" is like war flashbacks of like. being told i'm too difficult or that I make things more complicated than they should be. and like fuck this really makes me think of my awful ex boyfriend also the idea that she is clearly so hurt and upset but a part of her still looks back on the relationship with fondness and she doesn't want to fucking hurts. Like she has to deal with the happy memories and it's like she's wondering if they're all fake and she needs to him to be honest so that it stops being so confusing like FUCK.
