I think most people believe Lestat when it comes to the Claudia and the train scene. But this shifts something that I've been thinking about for a long time, and something that I always thought would be really unpopular. But that's admitting that Claudia/Claudia's diaries are (somewhat) unreliable as well. I've seen the opinion a lot that Claudia's diaries should be treated as gospel but I fear now it's clear that that might not/should not be the case.

Now I've said before on here that I'm not as interested in what "actually" happened; it's much more interesting to view what a character remembers (and what that says about them) then digging for the truth. So this doesn't ruin anything for me. And this opens up a whole host of conversation about Claudia and her relationship to the truth and her internal word.
