That is some soulmate in-every-life type shit. They have never spent a full twenty-four hours together over the span of over two years, and they act like that? I can’t even put into words.

Based on the 2020 novel by Richard Osman, the plot follows a group of pensioners - Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim - who used to be a spy, a nurse, a trade union official and a psychiatrist. The amateur sleuths set about solving the mystery of the murder of a property developer in a luxurious retirement village in Kent.

Literally just rewatching season 4 to get into the mindset of comedic/cozy ("cozy"?) mysteries and murders for a fanfic I'm writing.

I LOVE the foreshadowing of Lester being affiliated with the mob!

In Season 4, episode 1, he's so jumpy while on the phone with Charles about the hole in the window. "I got your note about changing out your glass." "What note?"

Which in itself is already something BUT...

When asked if it could be a bullet hole, he very reluctantly says, "Well..."

Season 4, episode 5 has Lester bring in clothing for a photoshoot and offhandedly mention a gimp mask. "You wouldn't recognize me behind the gimp mask."

Ignore the audio quality if you're able...

It's so out of pocket that it could be brushed off! But does anyone else see how nervous he is? (Sure that could be his character, but let me have some insanity to cling to...)

Mainly, I'm just getting at the setup being well done. He's portrayed as a bit jumpy in his scenes.
