we know the scalpers are watching and we know how they operate. they go by a quick-cash agenda that if they cannot make their money (plus more) back quick, they WILL BRING DOWN PRICES. shit, maybe even return them back to mattel and give us a second chance at getting the dolls and then not even bothering with that drop cuz they saw it made them no profit. we already know we cannot rely on mattel to give us a restock and even if they do, the scalpers are still a problem

i’m literally BEGGING YALL to NOT BUY FROM THEM. time and time again the monster high community is always “i HAVE TO pay three times the price for this doll”, or the “i’m late to collecting but i love the haunt couture line so much so i saved and payed $400+ for draculaura” and the one that irks me the most “well where else are we suppose to get them from ?? the scalpers have them all!!!!!” — buying from scalpers (and not just scalpers but collectors who also scalp dolls) IS A CHOICE. paying $300+ dollars IS A CHOICE. you don’t HAVE TO pay that price, you CHOSE to cuz you wanted to. you were okay with that

so if y’all really want these dolls, DO NOT BUY FROM THE SCALPERS. their quick-cash method falls apart when no one buys from them. the moment they saw the bratz x mean girls cady didn’t give them the $300+ dollars they were hoping for, they brought the price down and the collectors waited. they waited patiently till they brought down the price to $90 (cuz ebay takes a cut) and some of them even brought it down to retail price. so don’t give me that “i have to pay this much money for it” when we know scalping falls apart QUICKLY. if the bratz community can do it, we can too. they deadass said “you know what?? if none of us can have them, then the scalpers can keep them. let them rot in their basements. it’s just a piece of plastic. we don’t need them” and it worked
