every time i make banana bread like i am now i think of my ex who sent me the recipe with a handwritten letter and some wonderful little trinkets. i still use the same recipe. yesterday when i got home late and was too tired to make a full meal i made a sandwich another ex and i would always make together after a night out. eating ramen at a restaurant feels lacking without my two dearest friends, who once brought me ramen from our favourite restaurant when i was in too much pain to join them like we'd planned. i love food and love and food used as a way to say i love you
