you might think think tragic heroes like are fools. you might believe you wouldβve made the better choices and changed the ending & you might be right. you very well might have waited a little longer & seen juliet wake up, or trusted that you eurydice οΏΌwas still behind you, or confronted king claudius but thatβs only because youβre not romeo or orpheus or hamlet. you wouldnβt be in their stories, youβll have one of your own. your tragedy will be cruelly and expertly tailored exactly to your own tragic flawsβnot to romeoβs or orpheusβs or hamletβs. and you will fail just as surely, and I hope the readers find sympathy in their hearts for your inevitable mistakes and that it comforts you in the labyrinth of your narrative
