Harry has exceptionally high mental resilience. Any portrayal of him as easily moldable and manipulated is inaccurate.

It's also the guy who kept his wits and inner strength despite daily dehumanization and abuse from the Dursleys and then constant surveillance and targeting since he got to Hogwarts. People only think he's normal because they're used to his pov, where he doesn't talk about himself like that.

It’s like so obviously not supported by the text bc Harry’s literally living even closer to his dorm mates than he was the Dursleys and they haven’t been hit with the overwhelming urge to lock him in a cupboard and beat him up. They get mad at him at times but like… that’s being a teenager. How tf would Harry maintain a friendship with Ron and Hermione if the Horcrux was actually just a little Abuse Magnet? How come Dudley changes and realises that Harry isn’t so bad when he’s 15, and not when he’s away at boarding school at 11? Supposedly, if it’s the Horcrux making it happen, he should become a better person when away from Harry, except we know the school sent home letters about how he bullied other students etc, and it wasn’t until Harry saved him from the dementors that he turned himself around. It wasn’t HARRY making it difficult to reach this conclusion, it was his parents. Vernon and Petunia were the ones who were at fault for their treatment of Harry. Harry was a victim of abuse. He didn’t “cause” their abuse somehow. Period.

This theory didnt even consider the fact that every horcrux have different effect, like how diary can posses the person Who write in It, but the locket didnt have the same capabilities

Why isn't Harry Potter's magical prowess more talked about and also a thing in every fic? This and his unrelenting sarcasm are two of his most obvious traits, and everyone continues to write him and talk about him as an ordinary, oblivious, socially awkward dweeb, that just had Things™ happen to him and now he's famous and he hates it, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
