But Autism parenting in the 1940's was more simple and came with a single solution: spanking! When the man's Autistic daughter had meltdowns, or backtalked, or spoke rudely, or didn't behave like a proper young lady, there was one simple, quick solution. He would put her over his knee, pull up her skirt, and spank her Autistic bottom good and hard. When she kicked or reached back, he would simply keep spanking and spank her butt cheeks until she cried and wasn't squirming anymore. Simpler times with simpler Autism parenting methods, or rather, one simple method for parenting an Autistic girl.
