I kinda really resent that Silver and Blaze were written into the story in such a way that they always have to be justified every time they're around in the present with Sonic and Co.
If I could wave my magic retcon wand the Sol Dimension would simply not be a different dimension, make it another continent that's really hard to get to or something, and Silver would be some kind of clairevoyant who can see or visit the future but isn't stuck there until there's an emergency.
I know that would literally make them both less cool, but I miss them and am sick of the plots having to find excuses, especially for Blaze because she's so far away.

(SPOILERS though not for recent issues or major plot points, also I might get some details wrong, sorry i forgor) Silver: AFTER METAL VIRUS ARC he returns to his future only to find it actually restored! But he's made such good friends in the past that he decides to stick around.
Blaze: ANNUAL 2022 has a short story where she realises she's still been quite tense, despite how safe the Sol Dimension has been for a while. in the end she decides to go on vacation to Sonic's world, leaving Marine to guard the palace and call her back if she's needed.
So assuming Ian Flynn writes for more games in the coming years, we may see these plot points integrated into the main canon soon to get them featured more!
