My favorite session of any life series: session 7 of wild life. I’m a sucker for people getting superpowers, so I have a couple of mini comics/snapshots I sketched out from specifically Tango’s video (if you want to see them, you have to tell me, though. Otherwise I’ll be doing other things)
Also, I realize I got the dialogue wrong, but I also didn’t bother rendering or shading, so I’m okay with that

I drew a little holliday parrot with a hot cup of cocoa (I actually tried zooming in on the cocoa to show my details to my dad when I made prints to pass around, but you can’t zoom on paper…)
I going to pass a few prints out to my neighbors, because I haven’t met most of them yet, and also gonna send some to family members in the US, since my sister told me, she was sending over a drawing, and suggested I draw something to send as well, but then she sent hers on the day I made prints, without telling me… communication is a wonderful thing.

Work sketch dump, because I've drawn a few times with the kids at work, and now I've quit my job, and am gonna miss them.
These were for a competition with the theme originally being "sun and moon girl" but then changed to just "sun and moon" so I went with the original prompt. (I didn't enter the competition, since I was the judge. I just wanted to draw with them)
And this one had the prompt "creatures that live in trees" so I drew a little fairy creature, and actually had time to color it.
I'm not sure wether to post this here or on my art blog (@happygotart), so here it is, I guess.
My halloween costume this year: an undead bird warrior. I'm very proud of it, and can't wait to see how the kids at work react when I get to wear it tonight.
Also, don't mind the blue bee socks. The bird warrior can wear them. as a treat.
I spent weeks trying to finish that bird skull. Even now I still have to paint it, but that'll be a project for next halloween.
So yesterday while playing Dungeons and Dragons, my party made a plan to get rid of a hag, and it involved our adorable raccoon friend Dirt's portable hole. But the plan failed, and their player was really annoyed that it would take an entire action to pick it up, so the rest of us started making jokes about angry raccoon noises, and I had to go and get my sketchbook.
Then we decided it looks like he's been interrupted from his nap, so I gave his hat a tassel to make it look like a sleeping hat:
So I had to make an easy activity for the kids at work, and a fall leaf wreath was swhat I came up with. So far only one kid has tried it and they just helped me cut out 3 leaves, but I still think it turned out really nice. Hopefully more will try it out next week

My birthday present for my mom.
We just got back from Australia and she likes the black swans and the aboriginal artstyles. So I figured this would be a good present for her, since she never wants anything specific.

I didn't have enough yarn for a floor turtle at the end of my vacation, so I made a dish rag with a turtle on it. I think I finally found a method I like using as well.
Perks of being an artist: you can draw what you were too slow to photograph. Saw lots of pink and grey galahs on my trip, and one specifically sat on this nice tree by the sea. Ended up with a more impressionist/expressionist style than I intended, but it looks pretty good anyways

Hi, a quick PSA if strangers reach out to you through DMs on any social media:
Have them send pictures with specific hand gestures or poses. Have them do multiple, because generative AI has gotten good at fooling people.
Also be aware of how long it takes them to send the photo. Scammers or catfishers will stall while they get a picture that has the same face as the previous one, not to mention the same outfit.
So check if they're doing the correct pose, have the same face and the same clothes consistently.

I have a page of thumbnail ideas for my profile picture, and really liked this one, even though I went with a different design. So when I got the chance to make a pin today, I decided to use it. Then because it was off-center I added the text.
(I asked one of my students if it would be too dramatic and they said no)
I’m trying to color some of the prompts I did for mermay, and this one was for the word “cosmic”. I think I might have gone overboard on stars and blur effect, but I still thing it looks pretty good.
