I made this for my own use, because I needed to track my energy levels, but other people might find it helpful.
It might need some changes to be useful to more people, so if anyone can think of improvements I could make, let me know!
Also, I’m having trouble typing an image description on my phone so if someone could help out with that I’d be grateful.
Fall in love with someone you can be vulnerable with. 💓
I hate when abled parents talk about "mourning the normal kid they cant have" when speaking about their disabled child.
Like what if i told you your kid is normal? Disability is normal? And if you stopped viewing disabled life as something akin to or worse than death and appreciate the life that has been given to them.
Theres no loss in having a disabled child. Theres no tragedy. Theres no death.
To other autistic people, are you able to be sarcastic, but struggle to understand sarcasm from others?
I can use sarcasm, but I don’t understand it when others do

Sending warm and loving thoughts to every autistic person who fears they will have a bad sensory experience this holiday season that they won’t be able to avoid. I love you.
To other autistic people, how do you feel when you lose a special interest?
I don’t really lose them per se. It’s more like I find a new one, get obsessed and just replace. It’s a process haha
one of my flat mates had a friend over last night and they were super loud and annoying all evening, then went out. I thought that’s that, but no, they came home drunk at 4 or 5 idek and were so loud again that I was wide awake, couldn’t fall back asleep and ended up sleeping with my noise cancelling headphones on. Needless to say, I’m feeling really crappy today.
Shout out to all the autistic students out their struggling with burnout, meltdowns, shut downs, etc during finals
You can do it
Don’t be too hard on yourself
Use self care

autistic childhood is like: *hides in library* *is ostracized by peers* *puts hand out car window to feel the wind pulling your hand* *hides under desk* *is forced to hug relatives* *spins in a circle* *is bullied* *screams when something changes* *is whispered about by adults* *hides under bed* *picks a fictional universe and mentally lives in it* *is ostracized by peers* *watches same movie over and over* *acts out the same story with your toys over and over again* *paces* *imitates noises you hear* *is ostracized by peers* *screams when somebody touches your stuff* *accidentally says something rude and is punished* *makes weird facial expressions by accident* *is either loved or hated by teachers* *hides in a bush* *is whispered about by adults* *is ostracized by peers* *hides* *is bullied* *hides* *hides* *is whispered about* *hides* *is ostracized* *hides* *hides* *hides* *hides*
if you’re autistic, or otherwise neurodivergent, please know it’s completely okay to leave the table early, refuse hugs from relatives, take five minutes, or anything else you need to do to cope over the holiday season. all the stimulus from so many events over this period can feel so overwhelming, but you can get through this. I hope the new year brings many wonderful things for you
i hope that one day i will finally be ok….i’ll make a cherry pie when it is all over
today is the day
reblog the cherry pie to be ok
The cherry pie worked for me and here’s to hoping it’ll work for you too
It really sickens me.

Have any of you ever tried musician earplugs? I hear they’re supposed to be good for filtering out noise, but don’t muffle voices like regular earplugs. What are your experiences?
DISCLAIMER: This is not about a neurotypical person living with an autistic person. It’s about an autistic person living with their own autism as roommates, lightly poking fun at neurotypical people who insist we say “person with autism/living with autism”
