9/11 themed wedding. the cake is the twin towers and u cut it with an airplane shaped knife. the invitations are airplane ticket themed. dress code is new york early 2000s fashion. the like table seat namecards are airplane boarding passes. once the cake is cut all the staff switch to tsa themed outfits. instead of a wedding dress its the tower and instead of a suit/second dress its the airplane.

I understand that, for people who grew up ostracized and found themselves on the internet where they had authentic experiences that are perceived as inauthentic by virtue of being on the internet, Typing Quirks and the microcultures surrounding them can be a meaningful mode of self-expression, and I also understand that, especially for people who communicate primarily through the internet, they can replicate the pitch, timbre, tone and prosody that identifies us in our spoken speech (and from what I understand the specific web media from which many emerged used them to this end)... but please for the love of god can people stop using them so much especially in serious political posts they make it so hard to read if you have dyslexia or other language processing issues and are also very inconvenient to the many invisiblized people on the internet who do not speak English as a first language already performing a lot of labor by engaging with these spaces nearly exclusively in it. There's also just a certain insensitivity in using niche internet fan performances to talk about systemic violence. Why are you saying “minoritiez”.

like here's the thing, i won't pretend it's Morally Righteous to stream on kick As Opposed To twitch! i'd be streaming on there if i could too, damn! but i never see kick users pulling this concern trolling shit, meanwhile i get randoms and friends of friends like Weekly being like "ew, kick? really?" meanwhile its like. you could give $10000 to kick and have it cause less tangible harm than giving $100 to twitch->amazon.

it's the amazon that really does it in for me. when cis women wear basic clothing it's the "clean girl" aesthetic, when trans women do it it's shallow, consumerist, mass-produced, "basic" in all the wrong ways. "clean girls" don't get made fun of for having walmart-ass wardrobes do they?
