I’ve never been a completely hardxcore Sherlock fan. I fucking love it for what it is, i’m easily pleased, honestly. Looked forward to it every damn time something new has come round and loved it. Never picked many holes, you knowww. It was the thing i first saw Benedict in, in 2012 and the rest is history as you can see. It isn’t why i stayed.
But every time a new series does come around the FUN it brings online… The theories, the gifs, the comments and the laughs i get really outweighs the negativity from people (who need to admit they’re over invested and let go and the hole pickers you know those that are covered in negativity about it, those guys let’s not give any more brain to those guys, don’t let them ruin this for you).
I think that’s what i’ll miss most from BBC Sherlock when it goes away. This bit right now between episode 1 and episode 3. It’s always such a kinda electrifying moment on Twitter and Tumblr, everything goes CRAZY in every sense, where people are trying to work out what Uncle Mark and Grandad Steven are doing, the phone buzzes with notifications, the tweets from newcomers in the tags… i fucking E N J O Y it so much. The next 2 weeks…. man, cherish them cos we don’t know what’s gunna happen next with this series, and the Sherlock fandom is truly unique and clever and funny and the best side of it welcomes new people, new ideas, new theories, new humour… New friends are made because of this.
It’s a good time this bit is. You probably won’t experience this again anytime soon, so squeeze it for all it’s worth.
