that air of detached curiosity you mention is exactly why Marlo is, to me at least, for sure on the spectrum. there's a clinical, almost anthropological quality to the way he observes human behavior and the patterns of life in the society around him that reminds me of my own autism and that of quite a few others

while there are objectively “worse” characters, my least favorite character on the wire is undoubtedly scott templeton. that man pisses me off every time with his damn quotes. like what jimmy did that season is deplorable but however misguided and disrespectful he was (at the very least) doing it for the greater good. scott is just lying to score points with the paper like just write your own fiction novel at this point.
