One of reasons I'm so obsessed with Simon Adebisi/Kareem Said tension because they're two extremely intelligent men approaching things with such a contrast style but in some ways they wanted the same thing. I know JD Williams got the role for Bodie because he's already a seasoned actor by the time they filmed The Wire. But one would still think did Alexa L Fogel know about what they're gonna do with Stringer / Bodie dynamic? Yeah.

For the context: He played Kenny Wangler on Oz, the boy could barely read and write, the intelligent Homeboys leader Simon Adebisi is without a doubt, more intelligent and literate than his subordinates including Kenny. Their dynamics reminded me a bit Bodie and Stringer

no spoiler summary:

a-maze is an aging (not exactly age but kind of flop) rapper pushed by studio to make successful new songs to save his career. he also got caught up in a borderline gang fight beef with another rapper (someone else not of importance anyway)

gary is his producer, he kept grinding him to make an indie label to save him from being a flop, getting newbies to work for him.

eastie is the newbie gary got his eyes on, struggling young rapper hustling with local haitian gangs. gary is trying to negotiate a label deal with eastie (*cough cough* remind you of anything? "here's what im offering man")
