over the last fifty years, in upstate new york, baylor university and camden university were defined by rivalry. academic rankings, sport championships, and student organizations … nothing was ever met without fierce competition. that is until the summer of 2026. camden university had been in financial crisis for years, staying afloat largely due to their athletic department. even that wasn’t enough to keep the doors open. when bankruptcy was declared, it was announced baylor university would absorb camden’s students ahead of the upcoming fall semester. growing pains were expected … yet nobody planned for double the class sizes, housing shortages, limited leadership positions, and having to earn a spot they already had on their team. this only caused the rivalry to intensify. that’s the funny thing about calling it a merger, it’s far from a peace treaty.

TLDR — baylor u is a 21+ original character, slice-of-life roleplay set in a fictional college town with an overarching plot of rivalry. inspired by the campus diaries by elle kennedy ( though not necessary to know to join ! )

Salt hangs in the air here … It's a little town tucked along the edges of Boston, wrapped in that unmistakable New England charm: painted houses, weathered docks, hydrangeas spilling over white fences in the summer. This is Rosewood.

Life here moves at the perfect pace. It's slow enough for neighbours to chat over white picket fences, but fast enough for rumours to travel from one end of town to the other before sunset. Split neatly between the glittering waterfront of Rosewood Bay and the tree-lined streets of Rosewood Heights, the town thrives on a quiet rivalry that has existed for generations. Rosewood Bay sits closest to the water. Big homes with wide windows that watch the harbor. Old money. Sailboats. Champagne glasses clinking on cedar decks while the sun sets over the Atlantic. Up the hill is Rosewood Heights. Narrower streets. Smaller porches. Kids’ bikes tossed in driveways and basketball hoops over garage doors. Hard work lives in the heights, pride too. But the truth is … everyone overlaps. Despite their differences, the people of Rosewood are tightly woven together. Their kids grow up in the same classrooms, play on the same sports teams and fall in and out of love at the same parties. Parents share history stretching back decades … friendships, grudges and a few secrets that were supposed to stay buried. Because in a town this small, nobody is ever really alone. The barista knows your business before you’ve finished ordering, the neighbours notice when your car comes home late, and one whispered rumour can ripple through both sides of town overnight. Beneath the polite smiles and friendly waves, the quiet competition between Rosewood Bay and Rosewood Heights never truly fades. After all, in Rosewood, everyone knows everyone … and someone is always watching.
