sometimes i feel i have to restrain myself bc i think reblogging someones art with tags along the lines of I LIKED IT SO MUCH I KILLED MYSELF is not always gonna fly. but im always thinking about it

this week on brazilian twitter, a vtuber with a dark skinned Black girl avatar posted a picture of herself, revealling that she is white irl, and now a bunch of Black ppl are being silenced by nonblack brazilians swearing that this isnt actually a problem bc "racial dynamics in brazil arent the same as the states". mind you, not even a full decade ago, one of our biggest tv channels had a comedy show with a segment where a light skinned Black actor painted himself a darker color and pretended to be a poor Black lady.

Me: Man I have something I need to be at but i only need to be there in like 6 hours
