It might seem a bit crazy at first but hear me out pls

In the first X-Men movie, Charles says he met Erik when he was 17 and because he was born in 1932, the meeting would have taken place in 1949. But that obviously does not line up with the events of First Class, which was in 1962, meaning Charles would have been 30 when he met Erik. Many people pointed this out and they mostly say that Charles might blur years as he gets older, which I honestly doubt. I think he gets confused about his age because he wasn't actually born in 32, but in 42, or 43. This would not line up with either fact, as he would have been 20 or 19 when he met. You cannot tell me he looked 30 in First Class because I just cannot believe that, he looked way too young to be 30.

Charles was born as Charles Dalton in 42/43 in America. He would go to Welton where he would meet his friends and Mr. Keating. After Neil died and he was expelled, his parents were obviously mad at him and planned out some horrible punishment for him. So what did he do? He told his sister, Mystique what they might do and convinced her to run away with him, as their parents weren't the nicest to them to put it lightly. They grabbed a ton of cash and left in the middle of the night probably somewhere in the first few weeks of 1960. They got on a train and went to the UK, where they got new identities and bought the mansion. Charles used that opportunity to make himself older so he can get a job, which later caused him to get his age mixed up. So, from then on he went on as Charles Xavier.

Back at Welton, when he still went there, he was able to read people's mind. And he was aware that Neil and Todd were in love.

His original reason for opening a school for special children was originally not to help mutants specifically, but to save less fortunate children from their parents. He saw what happened to Neil and he wanted to make sure it's never going to happen again. And in a way, he got to live out his superhero dreams.
