Oh hey Tumblr,

A little bit of a photo dump for the blog today. I went to office hours to pick my professors brain about some homework that I am turning in late. The love of I have for professors that are chill people is absolutely boundless.

Yesterday I went to a cafe that resembles a train car and I got a miso caramel latte? I thought it tasted good.. but then the more I drank it the more decisions I regretted.. kept me caffeinated though.

with the passing seasons,

freedom from their prison cells

I can see you sitting there

with yogurt stained hair.

Smiling, staring straight into my eyes.

You don't know about anything,

least of all your father.

Just that the sight of me doesn't

scare you, so you glisten.

If I shut my eyes I can imagine

some distant future.

It's your wedding day.

Still covered in white,

this time with cake on your nose.

Your husband is a good man,

much better than me.

Still you look at me and smile.

Except, this time it's because

you know me, and somehow

that doesn't scare you.

If I dig deeper into my wanderings

I can see a much older version

of myself (I hope) lying in a coffin.

Open casket of course,

I wouldn't pass up the opportunity

to perform for you all one last time—

you always liked my dry wit.

And in this final scene

I hope you are still smiling.

Don't love me so much that my

departure destroys you—

I'm not worth that, trust me.

Don't fear what was always inevitable.

Just let the shadows pass.

Don't hate me so much

that ruminations steal your life.

Raging flames won't last,

and all that remains will be ash.

If I did my job you'll be smiling,

with a lifetime of scrapbooks

It's hard to motivate myself to study today. I'm trying to bribe myself with coffee and videos on colour theory (something I'd rather be studying than my criminal law flashcards). I only have one month left to study and it's taking a toll on my nerves.
