❛ The sun shines out of my hands / Can burn, can blind you / When it breaks from the fists / Lies hot on the face / It will not go down tonight / & the world counts to ten out loud . ❜ ⸻⸻ a very unique fragrance, like rays of sunshine on the skin, takes hearts by storm . even the entrée speaks volumes : soothing lavender combines with the clove-cinnamon note of star anise, joined by basil leaves soaked in bergamot . the result is a warm, & at the same time pleasantly fresh top note . the subtly nutty almond notes of heliotrope combine with strong, freshly roasted coffee & the spicy, woody accord of dried cloves in the heart, along with sandalwood & cedarwood . in the drydown, you will find the echo of fine glove leather - soft oakmoss, tonka & gentle patchouli ensure a fitting, solid finish with a lot of staying power .

Oddity's opening is dominated primarily by the black pepper, which makes it spicy from the onset, & an animalic sort of spiciness comes from the cardamom . Oddity takes you right into that space where old herb shops still light their lamps & keep their secrets. echoes of melancholy & the weight of it . picture licorice roots & vetiver dried & waiting, the cup of mulled alcohol drink cold & spilling, dark streets empty of everything but yearning . the sweetness comes late ( can you even call it sweetness ? ), unexpected as a letter from someone you used to love . not enough to change the story, just enough to keep you reading .

you no longer remember when it happened . you’ve wandered the world for so long that the memories of your childhood, once vivid & alive, now slowly fade into mist . does time heal wounds, or is it simply indifference ? you lean against a tree . the fire crackles softly, perhaps a pinecone burning . you always tried to find a pattern, a rhythm, listening to the flames as they slowly devour broken branches . fire takes life . fire gives life . in its glow, your scars become visible, like cracks in a shell hardened by heat, protecting what lies within . is it the fire of the bonfire, or the fire of your home ? first comes the smoke, carrying a message . then the flames . & after the flames, the ashes . from those ashes, your rebirth begins .
