Dottore couldn't have asked for a better outcome. It is so rare that the participants in his experiments were so eager and willing to hand over the reigns to him, so to speak. No, often Dottore had to do much convincing of his patients, even if they would truly benefit from his experiments solving the woes of their mortal coils. No need to divulge how many participants lost themselves in the process.

What was the saying, better the devil you know? He's not entirely sure if he trusts the Dottore, but his father is fond enough of him that he's willing to put his safety in the other's hands in the hopes of being a better weapon for the man who took him in and made something of him.
"I can already control water without a vision, and I'm more durable than a regular person. That being said, it feels as if there's something beneath the surface...Waiting to be let out. I was hoping you'd be able to help with that process."
He doesn't know how else to explain the strange pull the sea has on him, the way his heart aches when he's on land sometimes. It's almost like the depths call to him, and he wants to answer so very badly.

Believe it or not, I've never been one for events like that. Sure, I like to wear a mask like everyone else, but really, shaking hands and faking laughter gets boring every now and again."
Especially when most of the times he showed up there, it was for the express purposes of finding future clients, or future targets. He lives his life by the rule of having a plan to kill everyone you meet.

With a dramatic sigh, the man leans over to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Yes, he does take a particular interest in bothering the woman, but truthfully, he's been nothing but cordial and kind about the whole thing. If he really wanted to, he could be FAR more obnoxious about it.

Within New Eridu, Kaeya has a reputation as a lounge singer who tends to hang around the busier parts of the city, if not to bring joy to those who come to see him perform. Unofficially, however, he works as an info broker to those who seek his services. Much of his history is somewhat shrouded in mystery, and he's fairly dodgy about discussing his past, but he's always ready with an easy smile and a friendly hand.
He often seeks out those who pique his curiosity, and for the most part, tends to socialize whenever he's not on stage. In fact, he doesn't pay too much attention to his fame, preferring that people treat him normally.

Kaeya and Pantalone walked together in silence, he'd just earned the position of the Tenth Harbinger, and given a name to befit his position. To stand among the same ranks as his father...That has him reeling on the inside. Though he of course, graciously accepted his position (not that he would've been in any place to refuse). His coat is wrapped around his shoulders and he wonders just what that means for him. Perhaps not as much fieldwork as he'd like, but perhaps that could be negotiated with the Tsaritsa.
"I am proud of you."
The words are enough to cause the young man to be pulled from his thoughts, and he looks to his father, the man's expression as neutral as always, but still, there's a slight curl at the corner of his mouth that indicates as much of a smile as he's going to get. Kaeya can't stop the grin, and wiggle of his ears at the words of praise.
"Thank you, father. I'll strive to continue being worthy of your praise."
Perhaps he is a weapon, but...That's alright with him.
