I totally understand that Mollymauk's cloak would be a nightmare to animate, and I get that they picked the obvious route of simplifying it, but I still want to tell you guys what according to me would've been the funniest solution, which is to actually draw the cloak as detailed and complex as possible, but only show the back of it in ONE shot. For the rest of the series, whenever Molly turns or we're shown his back, the back of the coat would get hidden in increasingly absurd and obvious ways (like, at first by one of the nein or a simple object like a chair, and gradually by things like an extremely well timed flying bird, or a random sign that just says something like "detailed coat"), like they do with pregnant women on sitcoms
