when you're out here hating the shit out of a fic so passionately that you blocked muted etc the author on their socmed because they literally piss you off so bad for the takes they put in their author notes but the people around you like either the fic or the person and you're like okay but firstly it sucks secondly it SUCKS but you don't say anything. because you are so nice and normal and it's fine if people mischaracterize the characters you like so drastically that it basically swaps their personalities entirely and not even their canon ones but their fanon amplified flanderized ones so you just end up with the world's shittiest fanfiction packed full of things you hate because it would be a great fic if the characters swapped places but instead it's just BAD
tempting to install a skin on my ao3 just so i never have to see this fic again in any capacity the level of unbridled hatred and rage it induces in me is so insanely immense. and like it's not that deep it's just a fanfiction but i am going to stomp my feet about it here where nobody will know what i'm referring to.

i've lived in four different cities in my adult life and talked to literally tens of thousands of people about politics and the change they want to see in the world and the overwhelming majority of them wanted life to be better, happier, easier for everyone, and dreamed of that world. the only people who didn't think that way were A) really obviously in need of mental/medical care, or B) rich.
wanting universal free healthcare, well-funded public education, and social support for all people is the most unbelievably normie opinion that exists, even among people who have lots of bad or misguided opinions about other things. when you feel alone, know that the reason you feel that way is billions of dollars are being spent to obscure the fact that you are in the majority.
