This is damn weird.

XFiles/Midnight Mass crossover where Doggett and Reyes (and also Scully for some reason) go to Crockett Island after the cats fall from the sky. Always Very Catholic Dana Scully immediately clocks Hill/Pruitt as full of shit and HATES Bev (GA vs SS scenes will be epic), and our dude Doggett does his whole "You're telling me its vampires?" thing even after he sees bonkers stuff, so he makes friends with the Sheriff, and suspects Riley until the very dramatic & bloody conclusion where he probably gets the shit kicked out of him by The Creature. Meanwhile Annabeth Gish gets to do dual roles (as Monica who is 100% in her element bc EVIL CULT MAYBE DEMONS STUFF - and as Dr Sarah who gets to be logical and scientific, very Scully-like) so everybody wins. Maybe they get airlifted out in the end, or maybe they escape in a rowboat. Whatever.

Mulder would have loved EVERY SECOND. :)

Observations/Thoughts (spoilers ahead!)

1. This episode works so well bc Robert Patrick is SO GREAT. The memories coming back? The moment where John Doe looks down and John Doggett looks up? *chefs kiss*

2. When I tell you my husband (also rewatching), teen son (first watch, loves it a lot) & I all cheered when Scully walks into the San Antonio field office and Monica says but Kersh shut the whole task force down and Scully says yeah whatever Skinner is on his way to Mexico bc of course Scully and Skinner are gonna do their respective things regardless of permission. This household loves Walter Skinner. <3

3. "He walked out on me and my kids." *bribes cop* LOL Monica. I love her.

4. "Use the bus." YEEEEEES. *Immediately rolls the bus.* These two are actually such great weirdos. I love them together. We were robbed of the Doggett & Reyes show the later seasons could have been.

Anyway I think its a totally stellar episode. <3

leaked box (allegedly) of the final version of the x-files lego set, via u/General_Durian_1013 on the lego leaks subreddit

thoughts: word was already out there that the set is several hundred pieces fewer than the prototype, and this seems to bear that out. looks like a flukeman minifig in place of tooms/sasquatch. interesting that the mulder and scully minifigs appear to be styled after their season 1 looks, while the prototypes looked more season 4ish (or later). much lower ceiling in the office and maybe (?) no skylight in the back. overall still looks pretty cool and if the other rumors pan out, there’ll be a launch day gift with purchase set of “scully’s lab” (whatever that is - i’m assuming autopsy bay? here’s hoping for a lab coat & ponytail scully xD)
