I've been to Epic Cafe once or twice before but this was first time that I had the chance to try their ice cream. One word to describe them: Yummy!

We first read about Big Daddy Jay's from spot.ph. We got interested in it and that is why we end up trying it. Its located at 61B 17th Avenue Cubao, Quezon City. Some people might have a hard time finding the place if your not familiar with the area and they don't have a big neon sign outside as well but trust us its very easy to locate.

At first, some people might be intimidated to come and try the place out since it doesn't have that attracting appeal both inside and out. The place is small which can only accommodate about 20 people and there is no outside sitting area. The design inside is plain, just orange painted walls with quotes written on them.

Big Daddy Jay's is said to be famous for their ribs. We now know why. The meat is tender and juicy and it really falls off the bone (the meat is on top the ribs unlike some other restaurant where its in between the ribs). It also seasoned right, has the right balance of saltiness and smokiness on it. We find the serving size to be small though for the price. The half-slab is good for 2 to 3 persons, depending on the appetite of the person eating =P. The sauce that came with it was delicious as well. Aside from size, the meal didn't came with any sidings unless you order the Solo or Full slab. The ribs comes with 3 sizes; Solo (P160), Half (P410) or Full Rack (P790). The wings on the other hand was okay, it had a different taste compared to most buffalo chicken wings that we've tasted. It has a garlicky taste at first then the heat from the chilies comes after. The size of the chicken was small compared to other restaurants that we have tried. So far, they only have a few items on their menu; which is composed of few sidings, the rib and wings.

Overall, the food was really good. A very good alternative to Rub or Racks.
