So I saw this meme going around and I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon
Sorry infj’s but MINE is the rarest type 😌💋😍✨💅🏻👌🏻😏😘
Why is there some sort of lowkey civil war in the MBTI community, that we INFPs are either like those over-dramatic, fake depressed, emo middleschoolers who hardcore self-pity and mutter edgy things, or that we are precious baby tinkerbells, with the purest, realest souls and need to be cradled and protected at all costs.
Basically, everybody either wants to slap INFPs across our faces or kiss our lil foreheads.
Because xNFPs are some of the most obviously moody people when you spend a lot of time with them
And they can be like switchblades
But other types can be just as moody and they don’t really take as much heat (cough INTJs cough)
This is very very true! I’ve seen this in other xNFPs, and I’m sure others have seen it in me.
I also feel like xNFPs (especially INFPs?) are very prone to falling into unhealthy habits(looping, grip—Te/grip—Si), and an unhealthy xNFP can appear a bit on the first stereotype side. Possibly not exact, but I’m close friends with a clearly unhealthy INFP and she does actually fit the first stereotype type a fair bit.
Honestly the entire mbti community is a war 😂 the stereotypes are as bad as the stereotypes with astrology
I think more unhealthy INTJs are moody. But the more stable ones are fairly rational. Don't get me wrong, I have my moments. But everyone does have those moments. Because we are all humans. (except for INTPs of course, they are obviously space aliens)
MBTI and texting
SJs: Texts you whenever there’s something to be said.
SPs: Texts you whenever cool stuff that involves you happens.
NJs: Thinks about texting you, hesitates and texts you anyway.
NPs: Thinks about texting you, forgets to text you.
The SP one is really accurate

I’m...
DOMINANT FUNCTION:
Fe: Empathetic and warm-hearted. Other people are one of the most important things to me and I find it hard not to care about them or to want to keep them happy. I’m a lover of people
Fi: Emotional and opinionated. I have strong feelings about who/what I value and what is truly right, so I let my personal values influence myself more than anything else. I’m an idealist
Te: Driven and responsible. If I want to get something done, I’ll quickly find the most efficient way to do it. I’m a go-getter
Ti: Rational and independent. I love making logical sense of what I don’t know and figuring out how things work to solve problems or just for the hell of it. I’m an analytical thinker
Ne: Very stimulated by ideas and concepts. My mind is always energised by interesting thoughts and connections between them. I’m a visionary
Ni: Detached from the moment by itself and perceptive of the bigger picture. My 5 senses only take me so far, I’m mostly concerned with intangible possibilities and hidden meanings behind things. I’m a contemplator
Se: Spontaneous and highly in tune with my surroundings and happenings in them, which I’m almost always confident in experiencing and interacting with. I’m a realist
Si: Quite in touch with information I’ve gained in the past. My memory is very strong and I’m constantly comparing what I experience in the present to things I’ve experienced in the past. I’m a traditionalist
who…
AUXILIARY FUNCTION:
Fe: Highly values peace and harmony.
Fi: Is very in touch with their emotions and their sense of right and wrong.
Te: Takes charge to organise their environment and accomplish objectives in it.
Ti: Thinks logically and analyses information as objectively as possible.
Ne: Has an active imagination when it comes unrealistic/abstract ideas and possibilities of what could be.
Ni: Has clear plans and goals for the future along with a good idea of how to realise them.
Se: Sees things as they are and has no problems with improvisation or immersing themselves in the moment.
Si: Lets past experiences guide them and influence how they see the world.
When needed, I can…
TERTIARY FUNCTION:
Fe: Be gregarious and charming to get others to like me or to keep a social situation running smoothly,
Fi: Remind myself of my emotions and ideals of right and wrong,
Te: Do whatever it takes to complete a task or solve a problem,
Ti: Step away from emotions and make sense of things rationally,
Ne: Consider multiple possibilities and play with novel ideas,
Ni: See beyond my senses and pay attention to the intangible and to what could become of something in the future,
Se: Indulge in sensory experiences and be open to spontaneity,
Si: Thoroughly compare an experience or an idea to one that’s in my memories,
but many of my faults come from…
INFERIOR FUNCTION:
Fe: Not being very empathetic or sociable and not fully understanding how to properly act in some social situations.
Fi: Being too objective and not being able to foresee what feelings certain things can provoke in myself and others.
Te: Being reluctant to ignore my personal values and consider objective measurements of value and achievement.
Ti: Placing too much value on my own and other peoples’ feelings and not enough on objectivity and rationality.
Ne: Not being very open to novelty or uncertainty.
Ni: Failing to plan for the future or to perceive what my senses can’t.
Se: Being uncomfortable with living in the moment or interacting with my physical environment.
Si: Being bored by constant routine and predictability.
Hey this may sound like a very stupid question. But what are the advantages and disadvantages that each inferior function has? i.e what are the pros and cons of inferior si and ni etc.
The advantage is that you are not limited to your inferior function and will not get hung up on it, the disadvantage is that you will neglect thinking about it.
So if an ESXP is not limited by a single vision, the flip side is that they may not have one and will just wander through life from thing to thing with no real idea of what they want at the end of it.
An ENXP will not be bound by sentiment or adoration of the past, but may neglect building a sensible home environment for themselves or neglect their basic needs and self-care so that they are not well provided for in their old age.
An EXTJ will not be limited by their feelings, but also may neglect them and not have a good understanding of what motivates them or have faith in their ability to maintain close relationships.
An EXFJ will not be limited by needing to understand something before using it, but may also never analyze their own motives or stop to make sure their reasoning is sound before they proceed.
An IXTP isn’t hung up on what others think of them, but also doesn’t know their own feelings and tends to lash out irrationally with them from time to time, leading them to have an erratic emotional life that can intimidate others.
IXFP isn’t hung up on the facts or a need to succeed, but also doesn’t know when it’s more rational to leave a situation, argument, etc., or how much money their time is worth, so they may struggle to make good financial decisions.
An ISXJ isn’t bothered by indecision over thinking of 60 different possibilities, but also may not stop to think about alternate approaches unless forced to by circumstances, causing them to get blindsided by the bigger picture.
An INXJ isn’t bothered by physical limitations or reality, but can also neglect to be aware of them and live in a fantasy world as a result, or wind up getting hurt due to not paying attention to the outer world or overestimating their abilities.

Hi! I'm very confused about most descriptions I read of high Fi (like mbti-notes) because most of those seem to be Normal Person Things. Like, I tend to think it's normal to constantly evaluate things and be aware of one's feelings towards things? Doesn't everyone (at least at first) think of things in terms of "I like/dislike that"/"This seems good/bad to me"?
To some extent - people do judge things as liking or disliking but I know when I was young and had weaker Fi I found that unless I had a really strong opinion, I didn’t have one - like, I loved some things, I hated some things, but a lot of the time I just felt really neutral or apathetic (which went away as I hit my late teens and now I have opinions about everything).
A lot of MBTI things are ultimately pretty normal to most people, it’s a matter of how prevalent it is in your thinking. Additionally, if you look at the Fi descriptions on mbti-notes there’s a lot more than just that - everyone might form opinions of like and dislike, but an Fi user does that and also has a focus on authenticity and sees social dynamics in terms of individuals bringing different things into the relationship and so forth. That’s why it’s important to provide tons of information for typing - each function is best understood as a critical mass of a set of behaviors found simultaneously in one person, not any single trait.
Basically having low + underdeveloped Fi is like " I don't really care unless it concerns me or it's something that is important to me" so like. Yeah. This post
Hi Em, if you will permit me to respond to the anon asking about logical frameworks? If you teach Te something (give them a question and an answer) Te will judge that for correctness and if accepted, remembers it. Ask the same question, get the same answer. Ask a similar enough question, get a similar / the same answer. Ask a dissimilar question, Te researches, or gives the closest answer (usually with a caveat.) May look into it later for a better answer. This maintains efficiency. (part 1)
(part 2) How this differs from Ti: Give Ti a question and answer, Ti judges the method of obtaining that answer for accuracy. If accepted, Ti remembers that method. Ask the same (or a similar) question, Ti outputs that method, follows it, and reaches its answer. If a question is too dissimilar, the method fails and gives a nonsensical answer which is discarded. Ti needs to develop a new method to deal with similar questions. This focuses on accuracy. These methods are the logical framework.

Thanks! This is a good summary - and previous anon I think the most important takeaway is that as mentioned it is a method of reaching conclusions, not a collection of facts.

INTJ 5w6 into a lot of different genres. Mostly rock/alternative, indie and classical or chillstep. I have a pretty wide music taste. But I can't stand country music for the life of me. Blues is ok. But country music is terrible to me (and I live in the South, it's a struggle)
two asks in a row for INTJ 5w6, a type that’s very cerebral by stereotype at least is an interesting task! Miracle by CHVRCHES is about finding ultimate truth, and it’s alternative/electronic so pretty far from country.
