genuinely cant believe tim and moxxi are a thing canonically. it makes me so happy dude,
i adore their chemistry genuinely. tim displays an interest in her that is a.) very sweet and b.) much more earnest outside just the sexual connotations than her other relationships. i love moxxi dearly but we see throughout the series her past relationships have kinda sucks huge ass bigtime. and given her background i dont BLAME her at all, but thats what makes it so good to me.
tim is, for all his faults (and weird characterization in bl3, but thats another can of worms) just a guy who was dealt one of the worst hands imagineable. and is a very, all things considered, SWEET guy. the way he crushes on moxxi in tps is genuinely stupid sweet, he thinks shes cuter WITHOUT makeup and isnt put off by her accent (things she is self conscious about) and just. is very polite to her, calling her pretty versus just. the way so many other people talk about her? polite.
moxxi also seems to find it very endearing and seems to love teasing him in a way that doesnt feel mean. sure, she's pissed at him in borderlands 3 but all things considered its not something i hold against her, and honestly considering her tendency to just hold Massive as fuck grudges the fact that they ended up even on good terms says a lot about tims character and their chemistry together.
i dont own borderlands 4 but ive seen people talk about it and i knooooooow that despite moxxi showboating their sex life theres emotional connection there too.(i say as they drag me off to the mental hospital) moxxi calling it low maintenance makes a lot of sense, given how her other exes tend to be. tim is just some dude!!!! sure he committed atrocities for his former boss but he literally started out as just some guy in college debt. he's normal as shit despite his issues!!!!! which probably feels very low maintenance for moxxi!!!
not even to mention there's such a funny irony that tim and moxxi are doing SO WELL together in an Open Relationship in direct comparison to the fact that she broke up with jack BECAUSE he was a clingy little bastard who sucks in bed.
also like i know ive been talking abt tim mostly here but im genuinely really happy for moxxi in this situation. it's been a running gag throughout the entire series her exes all turn out to be like. just TERRIBLE people (marcus being. ok i guess) and the fact that she's in a relationship that is stable and healthy makes me really happy. the series really understates how fucked up her life has been, so to see her showing growth in her romantic relationships says a lot and im just happy. :) my deeply traumatized bi4bis......id kill for you..........
